More on Randle Randle’s excellent performance likely locked up a spot in the draft's top 20 which the first round is called on April 26. According to two NFL people, Rueben timed between 4.33 and 4.37 on both of his 40 times. In addition, he ran exceptional routes. At 6-3 and 212 pounds, Randle displayed the ability to get in and out of his cuts with quickness. According to a source at the workout, “He did an outstanding job of reaching out and plucking the ball with his hands.” Read more: http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-03-22/morris-claiborne-lsu-pro-day-nfl-draft-2012-vikings#ixzz1q03hLKw6

Supposed to be a deep draft for WR. Rueben Randle was a projected late first to second round, but he had a good pro day today increasing his stock. Rueben Randle - WR - Player LSU WR Rueben Randle clocked forty times of 4.33 and 4.37 at the Tigers' Thursday Pro Day. Randle ran 4.50 and 4.56 at the Combine. While LSU has a fast track (Mo Claiborne improved from 4.50 to 4.39), Randle clearly is not speed deficient. Randle also drew praise for his work in position drills. "He did an outstanding job of reaching out and plucking the ball with his hands," said one source at the workout. Sporting News' Russ Lande expects Randle to be a top-20 pick. Thankfully Avery signed with the Colts. I hope we draft a 1/2 type. Donnie Avery - WR - Colts Colts signed WR Donnie Avery, formerly of the Titans. The snakebitten former 33rd overall pick in the draft, Avery racked up 100 receptions for 1,263 yards and eight touchdowns during his first two NFL seasons before tearing his right ACL in August of 2010. Avery did post three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown in Week 17 of 2011, but he did nothing in between. The 28-year-old (in June) is still certainly worth a flier. While brittle and limited physically, Avery runs like the wind when healthy. Source: Jason La Canfora on Twitter http://www.rotoworld.com/sports/nfl/football?rw=1

Well so Much for Tanny not Trading our Picks Away...

In their career or just first year? The player we drafted would have been alot cheaper as well. -

What hole did we fill by trading for him? Are the Jets needs any different tonight than they were yesterday? -

Someone who would have contributed more than Tebow. The 4th round in the draft is usually pretty good to the Jets: Cotch Kerry Rhodes Brad Smith Leon Washington Dwight lowery Joe McKnight -

I know its early but how many snaps do you think he will see? If the Jets get behind in a game are they gonna bring him in to run the wildcat? For the amount of snaps he will get was it worth a 4th rounder? -

Are you sure of this? We still have another month till the draft, Tanny may still pull the trigger on a few more deals. Question for you Bit. We know the Jets dont draft WR in the first 3 rounds, so does trading their 4th make then take one in rounds 1-3 or do they wait till round 5 or later? What about safety? Didnt you like a couple of guys round 3 or 4? Some Position is gonna suffer because we dont have a 4th. -
Great when we trade a 4th and 6th for a guy who is expected to be a 3rd stringer and package type player. Great value there when they could have used the 4th guy who actually saw the field alot more than that. So much for Tanny holding onto the picks to fill all their needs.

Its relevant if players on the team feel this way. perhaps how relevant would depend on how many players feel this way. It will also be relevant to the Jets if perspective free agents on both sides of the ball have this sentiment regarding the wildcat offense.

Some perspective from a Jets player. Rich Cimini@RichCimini On Tebow, 1 Jet player tells me, "The wildcat? Nobody runs that anymore. We're taking 3 steps back, rest of league taking 4 steps forward." http://twitter.com/#!/richcimini

He may be able to do the job, but can he stay healthy? They have to be prepared and have someone ready to step in should he get hurt. we cant have the same situation as last year when guys got hurt and we had no replacements, no answer. We cant rely on Logan Payne either we need to add some talent to our receiving core that will be here for several years. We cant keep on bringing in guys on 1 year deals every year, we need some consistency. Im not saying it has to be round 1, but somewhere in the first 3.
-
And if Chaz gets hurt then what? We cant go into this season as ill prepared at WR as we went into last season.

whose that guy to replace Bart Scott with the 1st round pick/

• The pro-day events for the week have concluded. At Arizona State, the downward spiral continues for linebacker Vontaze Burfict. The one-time highly rated linebacker, who struggled through a disappointing 2011 campaign then ran poorly at the combine, looked no better today. Scouts thought Burfict looked poorly conditioned and out-of-place in drills. He was not smooth changing direction, dropped passes in drills and generally looked like a free agent compared to the first-round pick most predicted just six months ago. Several scouts said they felt bad for Burfict, who'll have another chance to redeem himself on March 30. The Arizona State pro day had some of the excitement taken out of the event, as quarterback Brock Osweiler won't be throwing for scouts until March 30, the same day linebacker Vontaze Burfict will run again and try to improve on his 40 time of 5.00 seconds from the combine. Burfict reportedly completed 16 reps on the bench this morning. http://www.cnnsi.com...?sct=nfl_t2_a17 -
I know. Sad isnt it. Thats why I think we should pull the trigger on a real #1 some year.
-
It takes more than 2. Santonio is more of a #2 to me and we dont know how long he will be here depends on how this season goes.
-
Thats not fixed in my opinion. I want them to draft someone in the first 3 rounds so that we hopefully can keep them here for a while. We cant keep patching the WR group together, and changing it every year, we need some stability.

I Like the signing If it is coupled with drafting a WR in the first 3 rounds leaving us with: WR1 Rookie/holmes WR2 Rookie/holmes WR3 Kerley WR4 Schilens WR5 Turner
-
I certainly hope not. If holmes is our #1 and Turner is our #2 we got problems...
