  1. Only reason why we will win games this season : Brett Farve, and Fireman Ed.
  2. If the Jets are not 6-3 or 7-2 by the time we face the Patriots next, I will want Mangini's head! Round 2 against the Patriots could be brutal
  3. Very true. Mangini let Farve throw, even Clemens throw when he was in there - they we're moving the ball and getting scoring chances, Mangini needs to let Farve do what Green Bay let Farve do = THROW BALL DOWN FIELD, If you catch it = touchdown, if you drop it = just another in-completion do it again, If its intercepted - Its 50 yards down the field, just as good as a punt.
  4. If Barrett caught that second pass right to him, we would have won that game.
  5. Arizona - This will be a great game, if damn Magini lets Farve throw the friggin ball down the field = A SHOOTOUT in the Jets favor. Bengals - No problemo. Oakland - No problemo. KC - No problemo. Buffalo - Another very good game, we will be in Buffalo so loss. Rams - The Rams should just forfeit now. Patriots - if things continue to go the way they have, the first half score = 0-0. Jets win. 7-3 that would be a good record, very possible, but MANGINI HAS TO LET FARVE THROW THE DAMN BALL 30 YARDS DOWN THE FIELD EVERYTIME
  6. I am very numb, I have a very bad feeling in the bottom of my stomach, everytime I turn on the T.V. I dread a report on the Jets game, the hope of a good season is slowing go down the tube, my faith in Magini to anything is slowing drifting to a hatred! "This F-ing tattoo on my left arm has all but sealed the deal that I'm a Jets fan for life. LOL:fighting0050:" Poor guy, its just as worse as a guy I know - Mets tattoo
  7. Authors note : I am a proud Jets fan, who is at the edge of a nervous breakdown like the rest of Jets Nation, and I am praying like heck the Jets win this week - or I will drive down to New Jersey and shoot Eric Mangini. 40 straight years? : With the New York Jets 48-29 loss on Monday Night football against the San Diego Chargers, the Jets now fall to a grim 1-2 standing - with the NFC West leading Arizona Cardinals on tap for this upcoming weekend, which can simple be categorized as : "The battle of the 37+ quarterbacks = Brett Farve 38 turning 39,Kurt Warner 37 turned 38 next summer.". But the questions that remains, is : Are the Jets on the verge of their 40Th straight season since 1968 of failing to reach the Super Bowl? It just seems a team which has encountered great talent numerous times over the past four decades can continue to fail year after year after year. What about the Lions? Browns? and Cardinals? Lions - The Detroit Lions last reached the championship game all the way back in 1954, but they have consistently sucked through-out all of these years, not reaching the playoffs and blowing it - and they have had only one good player, Barry Sanders. Cardinals - The Arizona Cardinals last reached the championship game in 1948, and as the Chicago Cardinals, like the Lions they have year after year just been a downright horrible team, plagued to constant failure, but the tide might be changing for the Cardinals this season. Browns - (Note : I do not count the NFL championship ship games between 1966-1970 as the overall championship was the super bowl ) The Cleveland Browns last reached the championship game in 1965, they have reached the playoffs every once in a while, but for the most part have been suffering, like this year - good prediction for season, 0-3 entering week 4. The Jets have 13 games left this season, 4 against AFC East foes, 3 against AFC West teams, 4 against NFC West teams, and a single game against the the Cincinnati Bengals & Tennessee Titans. They need to move it, or lose it. signed, the pathetic Jets fan - who will never switch teams, even though all of my family is questioning why I don't. Semper Fidelis = Jet fans. Always faithful. http://www.sportslovers.smfnew.com/index.php?topic=464.0
  8. The Battle for upstate New York : Living in Upstate New York is not an easy task, the winter is rougher, the money is tighter, and getting sports gear for my beloved New York Jets is harder. I live in New York Jets/Buffalo Bills territory, I know zero Giant fans - in fact I know more Cowboy fans in the area I live in, and I have seen a wood work of Jet fans come out of hiding this season, "if you trade for him, they will come" , but the local merchants have not picked up on this. As wherever I go, all I see is "Giants this, Giants that, Giants chairs, Giants little kid bikes, Giants blah, blah, blah ENOUGH!", even in the newspapers when the Jets & G-men play on the same day, the headline on the back of the NY Post is : (90% of page) Giants win again, 3-0 now. (10% of page) Jets head to San Diego, hopes low. Being a Jets fan is tough, but being a Buffalo Bills fan - you know the team that is 3-0 and leading the AFC East has to be tougher, as they get no respect by anybody in the New York ( entire state ) sports media, and they have the fact on their head constantly ( we might be moved to Toronto at any minute.... ). So my final thoughts are : Being a Giants fan is like being one of the Kings men in New York, being a Bills fan is like being one of the politicians family in New York, being a Jets fan is like being either a servant or a slave who works 20 hours a day in New York. Go Jets!
  9. Well, I know what is going to happen : Graham is going to have a great game, then everybody is going to be yelling "why did they release him in the first place!"
  10. quote : My son is one of those dying breed, he cannot lie and is a real good kid. i refuse and hate to believe he may be corrupted by this chick. I want him to wait for college like 124 did or better yet for marriage __________________ A dying breed it is, good morales will prevail with those who know better
  11. I wanna hear everyones keys to victory. 1). The Jets need to run the ball successfully, the Chargers are without the HGH man, 2). Jets need not to piss the Chargers off, they are pissed as it is over their game last week which was blown by the referees. 3). DO NOT EVER SETTLE FOR A FIELD GOAL! OR EVER ATTEMPT ONE WITH JAY FEELY AS THE KICKER
  12. I have 2 main reasons for being a Jets fan : 1. The first football game I ever watched on TV, was a Jets game - I think they were playing Buffalo at the time, I was like 5 or 6 years old, and I just liked the Jets - and watched a few more games, and thats the way the cookie crumbles. 2. My Uncle, who has taught me so much about sports, and his stories of the good 'ole days of football & baseball, he is a Jets fan since 1960, and it rubbed off on me. I have never liked the Giants, always have had a soft spot for the Bills, but I love those Jets
  13. "By days end, he had become one of Gods' most pathetic creatures, a Redsox fan" That is from Fever Pitch, change Redsox to Jet, it fits perfectly. You may say the Cardinals or the Lions are the most cursed NFL teams, but lets think about it - the Jets have not sucked all of these years like the Cardinals & Lions, they have actually had good expectations and then it was taken away from them just like that *cough O'brien kick against the Steelers cough*. While watching the Patriots-Jets game sunday, my brother called up - he said "Tim, why are you a Jets fan, why not become a Giants fan atleast they win" I said "I am a Jets fan for many reasons, their the team I love to support, being a Jets fan teaches you something" How to lose? Gotta love older brothers. I am a Jets fan, I struggle with it, I get picked about it by my Patriot brothers, but could you imagine yourself not a Jets fan? Being a Jets fan is like taking tha magic bullet, you know it is going to hurt like hell, but you stay for the ride every single minute of it. Semper Fi. The pathetic Jets fan, Tim.
  14. I personally liked Graham, but with the way our season is currently looking, we need every position to be at its best, and Graham was not doing that.
  15. In the draft of 2005 the New York Jets drafted Tennessee running back Cedric Houston,Houston at the time seemed to be the next in line for the Jets running back position as Future Hall Of Famer Curtis Martin was getting older by the carry. But the Jets signed Derrick Blaylock, back up running back for the Chiefs to a deal,Blaylock rushed for 8 TDS in the backup role in 2004 seemed like the logical choice, but injurys plagued him. Entering the 2006 season the running back position for the Jets was in complete disarray, with Martin on the PUP list, with Blaylock not performing like he did in KC,and Houston only rushing 71 times in the 2005 season. The Jets drafted Leon Washington,a running back they hoped could ease their problems, and the Jets also signed former 49ERS running back Kevan Barlow to a deal. Blaylock was a non-factor rushing for 0 TDS and remaining injured all season,Barlow did very well..but got injured as well,Washington did well for a rookie, but Houston was the brightest back in 2006 - rushing for 5 tds,and over 350 rushing ayrds, including a monster game against the hated Packers in Green Bay. But the Jets in the offseason decided to take another turn,as they released both Blaylock and Barlow,Martin retired, and they traded for Bears running back Thomas Jones..making the Running Back depth look like this : 1.Thomas Jones - 2007 season - he struggled, rushing for few touchdowns, and not much in the yardage. 2.Leon Washington - 2007 season - Rushed for three tds, fewer carries, but progressed as the Jets kick off returner. Cedric Houston. Houston, a day before training camp he left for personal reasons,it turns out Houston was quitting football and decided to finish getting his degree at the University of Tennessee. The way the Jets season has gone for them,Houston could have got another shot to prove him self..the question is : What if? - Guag sports.
  16. why get mcfadden? We have wonderful running backs
  17. Hey Jets fans, been crying....haven't been on much.. Heres my thoughts : If we win today, the Jets will have 3 wins, two against the worse team ever in the NFL'S history....and one win against a overrated Steelers team... And by far..the worse season to date... Kellen Clemens..has done nothing......interceptions..interceptions..1 td today..but thats because of brad smiths great run after the catch... We need to draft a good QB next year..as we will be the #2. or 3 pick in the draft

  19. "Win one for the Meast" Former Washington Redskins, corner back Sean Taylor called him self "half man, half beast",resulting in the nickname : Meast. He was a beast,as in his three seasons with the University of Miami,as he won a National championship as a freshmen, played dominate in his second season, and in his third and final season with the University of Miami he won the Big East Defensive Player of the Year award, and was a first-team All-American. Taylor skipped his Senior season in college to play pro. football, and was selected fifth in the 2004 NFL draft,by the Washington Redskins,Taylor turned out to be a steal ; signing a seven year 18 million contract with the Redskins,a player the Redskins could build a defense around. In Taylor's rookie season,he started thirteen games as the starting free safety, had four interceptions, and eighty-nine tackles, but also was accused of spitting on Bengals Wide-receiver T.J. Houshmanzadeh, but was later proven false. 2005 was a great season for Taylor, intercepting two passes, and forcing two fumbles,he became recognized as one of the hardest hitting players in the NFL. In the 2005 wild card game,Taylor returned a pass for a touchdown, which would win the game for the Redskins, but he was ejected for spitting on Michael Pittman. Taylor continued playing fantastic in 2006,but was inconsistent missing numerous tackles, but he had 129 tackles, one interception, and three forced fumbles. Taylor was named a first alternate to the NFC'S pro bowl team, but when Brian Dawkings choosed not to play in the Pro Bowl,Taylor reached his first and only NFL Pro Bowl. Taylor had many legal troubles, but worked through it,to revive himself,as in 2006 his baby girl was born, and from there Redskins teammates describe him as "a changed man". On November 26,2007,Taylor was shot in the upper leg,by a intruder in his home, the bullet struck an artery in his leg,his girlfriend tried to call 911 from the homeline, but it had been cut,she then called it from her cellphone, which delayed response from authorities. Taylor was brought to the local hospital, where he underwent surgery,he lost a tremendous amount of blood, and remained in comma, later that day Taylor woke up from comma for a short time, grabbing onto a nurses hand, then quickly fell back into comma. Early November 27Th,Taylor died from his wounds. Taylor will be remembered as a Great player,a Pro Bowler,a Meast,a Father,a Son,and a Teammate. Taylor in his career had 299 Tackles,12 Interceptions,8 Forced fumbles, and one Pro Bowl. The Redskins play the Buffalo Bills on December second,so lets root for the Redskins, and lets say "Win one for the Meast". Timbok.
