As of right now the Jets are where bad coaches get free money to not do their job

Todd Bowles never coached in the Nfl yet got a 4 year 16 mil contract to be 24-40, got fired after 3

Adam Gase got 4 years 20 mil for a  9-23 record and got fired after 2 years . Very little coaching experience

So what do the Jets do give another coach with no Nfl coaching experience a 5 year contract and so far he is 2-8, how many people wanna bet Saleh won't make it to year 5?

Can this team just throw a bunch of money at a proven winner for a change?

So you would be interested in a guy like Rich Kotite who was 36-28 as a coach before he came to the Jets?

Forgive me if this was answered already but if we tie with the Jags why do we pick 2nd?

The tiebreaker is strength of schedule. The team with the weaker strength is deemed to be a worse team because they had the same record but an easier schedule. Right now the Jags own that tiebreaker.

Then goes out and looks like a jerk in one of the worst post game interviews I've ever seen

If you can't deal with the NY media, you can't play in this town

Had zero issue with the way he handled the media. The reporters were baiting him for a soundbite and he refused to give in. If you dont want stupid answers, dont ask stupid questions.

I gave it a shot and tried my best (and this was more of a difficult challenge for me than I had initially though (heading in) as I literally couldn't make up my mind on which players to keep and/or which ones to remove from my lineup.

    Coaching Staff:

    H.C - John Madden (Raiders).

D.C - Bud Carson (Pittsburgh Steel Curtain).

    O.C - Sean Payton (Saints).

    QB -Tom Brady (Patriots).

    RB - Barry Sanders (Lions).

    FB - Vonta Leach (Texans).

    WR1 - Randy Moss (Vikings).

    WR2 - Larry Fitzgerald (Cardinals).

    Slot - Jerry Rice (49ers).

    TE 1- Antonio Gates (Chargers).

    TE2 - John Mackey (Colts).

    LT - Orlando Pace (Rams).

    LG - Larry Allen (Cowboys).

    C - Dwight Stephenson (Dolphins).

    RG - Joe DeLamielleure (Browns).

    RT - Anthony Munoz (Benglas).

    3 4 D

    DE - Reggie White (Eagles).

    PR -Steve Smith (Panthers).

    K - Mason Crosby (Packers).

    P - Reggie Roby (Oilers).

ST gunner - Kassim Osgood (Jaguars).

Which unit would JN faitful vote for as a more dominant unit; offense or defense?

Solid team. Doing one myself I know it is tough to get everyone in the correct position. That defense is nasty. No offense would be able to move the ball. However, you have Dion listed twice and are missing a Seahawk representative. Warren Sapp, yes played inside but as a 3-tech, not a nose.

A lot depends on the type of offense you want to run.  Although Barry was amazing, and would be even more so behind this line, I'm not sure he's the guy I'd pick for this.  If I wanted Thunder and Lightning, I'd go with Jim Brown or Earl Campbell on the one hand, and someone like Marshall Faulk or even LDainian Tomlinson on the other because of what he opens up in the receiving game.  Not saying they were better than Sanders, but how many times can you really hand Barry the ball when you have Jim Brown in your backfield.  Faulk or Tomlinson you can run play-action with.

On defense, if you are going 4-3 you really have to have Mean Joe on the field.  You can not put a guy like Sapp ahead of him in any scenario.

My only other observation is that I would not have Deion and Darrell Green as my starting CBs.   Deion sure.  But you need a CB that can press and be physical.  Someone had Woodson, which is good.  You could argue for Mel Blount if you want to just murder the opposing WR.  But Darrell Green wouldn't be able to do anything to Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, or any of the other great 6'4"+ WRs I've seen listed.

And honestly, if you didn't put Randy Moss in your list, you need to re-examine it.  He is far and away the most dominant player at that position we've ever seen.  I don't think it's even close.  And it's amazing that nobody listed Rice, but I do get it.  Just weird.

@Sarge4Tide w/ the monster poll for this in 3...2...1...

These are all things I agree with you. Starting out, I initially had both Mean Joe and Earl Campbell in my lineups but eventually moved them out because of every team needing representation. I struggled with getting a few teams representation knowing there were much better players at those positions. In no way does my lineup represent the very best at every position and would probably change somethings if I wanted to take more time on it.

Also, I have Jerry Rice in my lineup. Rice, Moss, and LT were 3 players that I felt were non negotiable along with Lombardi for coaches.

Couldnt agree more. I think of myself as pretty objective and understanding that there will be a level of "homer-ness" when it comes to the Giants with Banks, Poppa, and Howard announcing but last night was over the top unprofessional and un-watchable

For you it was but to the audience they were catering to, I am sure they loved it. Sucks for Jets fans but next year will be all about the Jets. This was not a traditional impartial announcing crew. They were hired  to talk about the Giants team.

  8. Johnson: "We need a bright offensive mind in here to take Darnold to the next level."

Mac: "The head coach of the 31st ranked team in total offense just got fired from Miami and can probably bring his offensive coordinator with him. How about them?"

    Johnson: "HIRED"
