  1. I would love to see Brad Smith in Red, White and Blue.
  2. He should never have been drafted by a 3-4 team. He is a 4-3 DE.
  3. And how is that any different than the OP of this thread?
  4. Revis is better at disrupting the pass and preventing the reception than he is at tackling a receiver if they do manage to catch the ball. This is true for a lot of cornerbacks. And the better the CB is at preventing the receptions the more this weakness is masked. Which is actually a good thing for the cornerback. After you don't want the CB making a lot of tackles after a WR makes a catch, the goal of the CB is to prevent the catch not tackle afterwords.
  5. Not sure about that. But your QB has a fetish for Unicorns that pee rainbows.
  6. Mankins missed half the season, don't know why anyone voted for him. There were a couple of Pats I though should have made it that didn't. Whatever, I don't want any Patriots playing in it, rather they go to Dallas. What a player does on prime time certainly matters more than what he does during a normal 1 or 4 Sunday game.
  7. It happens. What has Peyton Manning done this year to warrant going? He is going purely on past years. Although I don't think anything was worse than Favre in 2008.
  8. JonEJet...that is not the list. That was one person's predictions.... list is here.... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81d470fb/article/2011-pro-bowl-rosters?module=HP_cp2
  9. But beyond that, if you can't handle it get someone who can. Rex has dyslexia. It is entirely possible he can't handle the math to effectively manage the clock on the fly. Not that the math is extremely hard, but he also has a bunch of other things he has to think about and he might be able to handle it all. So lets assume he can't. No big deal. Somebody on the Jets staff ought have that ability. And if nobody does -- hire someone. Stick him upstairs in the booth with a headset on. One job - advice the head coach on the clock management.
  10. jets: D'Brickashaw Ferguson, tackle * Nick Mangold, center * Darrelle Revis, cornerback
  11. Boston media sucks too. Plenty of NEP players do the same type stuff. That is true for every team. Borges never writes about that, only negative stuff about the NEP. When Brady does charity type stuff it makes the Projo, but not Borges column. Not taking anything away from Sanchez, what he did was great. But there is something seriously wrong with the NY media not interested in this story, but a Boston reporter that never comments on Brady or other Patriots charity activities being all over it.
  12. Nice story, good for Mark. Kinda odd that the feel good story about the Jets QB come via a Boston based reporter instead of one of the Jets beat reporters.
  13. I swear, french toast must be the official breakfast of snowstorms. Its snowing...OMG, lets go buy milk, bread and eggs.
  14. He keeps using the word...but does he even know what it means? "to conduct oneself in an arrogant or superciliously pompous manner; especially : to walk with an air of overbearing self-confidence" http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/swagger Swagger isn't confidence its arrogance.
  15. yes...if KC, Colts and Pitt all win than KC will be the 3 seed and the Colts the 4 seed. If both of those teams win WC weekend. Than Colts would travel to NE and KC would travel to Pit.
  16. He puts his foot in his mouth so often you start to wonder if he might have a foot fetish or something...
  17. Hey.....it looks like we got two feet of snow......
  18. Anything can happen in the playoffs. But I like NE's chances. The team seems to be playing better and better as the season wears on. But on any given Sunday.
  19. I can't think of any off the top of my head. I do vaguely recall him taking over play calling duties, but I don't recall which year or assistant that was. IMHO -- Typically the firing of an assistant is done as a scapegoat when things aren't going well, more than as an actual fix to a team problem. BB really hasn't needed to scapegoat.
  20. No way. Pennington was much smarter of a player. Less arm strength, but smarter.
