  1. His feet looked all over the place. And how many times did he go beyond his first read? It's his first pre-season game, so whatever. Compared to most Jets QB draft picks, he's already Joe Montana.
  2. If this is what female empowerment is about, then I'm all for female empowerment. Savage.
  3. This is one of the best non-douche drafts that I can ever remember us having. For now, at least...
  4. Best wishes Joe. I think I only met you once but I've got a lot of respect for you. Thanks for all you do and hoping for the best.
  5. Here's another video: https://www.sny.tv/jets/news/jets-select-usc-qb-sam-darnold-with-no-3-overall-pick/273521052 He sounds plenty happy in that one. I wouldn't judge him based on that one moment that he's been waiting for for years, it was probably sensory overload.
  6. That's just not true. He said all of the usual things these guys say. He's more low key than most, that's all. If he didn't want to be here, then they would've drafted Rosen.
  7. He said something or other about being honored to be a Jet, gave a shout out to the 'great Jets fans' there and when asked what the fans could expect, he said "Wins."
  8. I also hate him bc he's a millennial. But they're all millennials. So I hate them all.
  9. I'd be surprised if it's Mayfield. The Jets have been way too obvious about wanting Mayfield. I bet it's Rosen, and I'm not thrilled about that. But it's not Allen, so that's good.
  10. Our offensive line is also far from impressive.
  11. Honestly, the Patriots draft history over the past 20 years is not impressive either with one glaring exception.
  12. All I'm saying is that the universe in which the Jets draft him is probably the same universe in which that scenario plays out.
  13. Yeah, so the way it would work is that he would light it up for 8 weeks, throwing like 22 touchdowns to 3 picks during that time. And then he would leave. That would be the most Jets thing ever.
  14. It's tough not to pick Allen, but damn, Rosen really worries me. The combination of injury concerns + commitment to the game concerns + being on the Jets scares the hell out of me. Surely one of those 3 things will ruin him.
  15. I love the trade up. But so far I'm really disappointed in the lack of moves on the offensive side of the ball, be it skill position players or offensive line upgrades. It'll be great to get one of those top 3 QBs but we need protection and weapons for him too and now without those draft picks, those upgrades really need to come from free agency.
  16. If you're actually complaining about this today... what the hell is wrong with you? Like, seriously, get some help.
  17. It's as if they budgeted $25M for Cousins and then when that fell through, decided they needed to spend the exact same amount on QBs, even if that meant 2 different contracts. We could've actually used that $$$ to upgrade other spots on the roster. It's so... I can't.... I cannot with this team anymore.
  18. If you're looking at it only from the perspective of what helps us win the most possible games this year then I guess it makes sense. But we need a QB solution for the long-term and this does nothing to help us in that sense. If anything, it might actually be detrimental because you could be taking reps away from a 1st round pick that's sitting behind McCown.
  19. It's not that we shouldn't or wouldn't consider him a long-term option at that point. I'll let everyone decide for themselves if that happens. That is not the problem. The problem is that it's allegedly a 1 year contract. So sure, maybe he has a fantastic renaissance season. But then he's a free agent anyway and he's going to want to get paid big time.
  20. I'm giving him a chance to draft a QB in the 1st. If he doesn't do that, I don't know how anyone could object to a new billboard.
  21. I'm not asking why you believe he might bounce back, or why it makes sense to have him on the roster. I'm asking what purpose is served for the TEAM by giving him a 1 year deal? Best case scenario - he has a good season and then you lose him. What have you gained in the meantime? A single 7-9/8-8 season?
  22. What is the point of a 1 year deal for Bridgewater? What, he has a surprisingly good season, we go 7-9 and then... oops, hits the market and goes elsewhere for big bucks? Really, what's the mindset behind a move like this? Trying to flip him mid-season or... what?
  23. On second thought, I don't care about anything else nearly as much as the QB situation. And Bridgewater + McCown is absolutely terrifying... they're either going for Allen in the draft or a sleeper pick on day 2. Please no.
