The reports out of camp so far are that Fields has been playing well, but its day 4 or 5 of practice, so take it with a grain of salt.

That's what I keep hearing as well.  Just a totally different level of confidence.  Wonder if the offense geared for him or just comfort is the catalyst.  I actually just saw a piece on him, former Jets from last years squad Ryan Griffin is saying he's never a met a more focused player.  Thought that was interesting considering he's played with Wilson and my former love affair, Watson.  That said, the Bears are awful and I think they've proper ****ed Fields.  He has the worst OL in the league with really nothing to throw to other than Mooney.  If they even sniff .500, Fields might be in the MVP conversation.  That offense is hot garbage.

The biggest mistake this team made this draft was not getting Zander Horvath. He’s legitimately gonna be a weapon. Kyle Juszcyk type with more running ability, would’ve made our backfield the best in the league.

Not everyday you here someone claim, not taking the 260th overall player in the draft was a mistake.  lol  Where would the Jets have taken him considering their last pick was 117?

    Under Pressure should be allowed.

It's almost unfair because of the Queen presence.  lol.  Like, arguably the 2 greatest voices in rock history on the same track?  So good.

@JiFapono you totally nailed it that his top 5-100 changes with mood.

Currently my top 5 has to be:

    Ziggy

    Queen Bitch

    Rock n Roll Suicide

Sound and Vision (probably my favorite)

    Life on Mars

It 100% changes, there was a time in my life when I was grieving a lot, saying goodbye to people forever and it like didnt stop for a while and it just sucked.  At that time, Seven, was the greatest song ever written.

I think a lot of the reasons (read: excuses) for a lot of Zach’s failures last year are valid, but that this year he really needs to show some significant improvement. I’ve been complaining about the weapons since Sanchez, at least. These guys have really gone out of their way to genuinely bolster the entire offense around Wilson. The only knock on the talent is their youth. That’s it. He needs to perform.

I don’t have an answer for how bad he’ll have to be for how long for them to end the experiment. Hopefully we won’t find out because my guess is longer than the majority of us would like.

I’m also of the opinion that if he doesn’t work out they bring in a veteran to either push or replace him. I don’t see another QB drafted high too soon. And I don’t want to.

Sure but the good news is, this year, the only rookies that should see time are a RB (which really doesnt have a learning curve) and a WR, who the Jets can fortunately bring along if necessary.  The rest of offense is pretty seasoned, the OL, the TE's, Davis/Berrios and Moore in 2nd year.  It's a much better balance this year, IMO.

The downfall of the "ride or die" concept is that it will not elevate the reputation of this team hence attracting the bottom tier of free agency.

Meh, it's ride or die right now and they had a great offseason signing veteran guys like Tomlinson, Uzomah, Conklin, Whitehead, Reed, Alexender, etc.  IMO the difference this time around is that you could attract and maybe hit lightening in the bottle with a veteran QB who could also inspire some hope.  I think it's reasonable to assume, that say if the Jets landed Jimmy G. as an example, some players might be more amped to give a run with him than Wilson.

Had to think really hard not to have all 5 be from Ziggy Stardust (always in the discussion of my top albums of all time) but here goes, in no particular order:

    Soul Love

    Starman

    Rebel Rebel

    Young Americans

    Changes

Special mention for Under Pressure, his collaboration with Freddie Mercury, but it doesn’t make the list since it’s not just a Bowie song.

Seriously, like I said, Hunky Dory to Ziggy Stardust, there isnt a single track that isnt an all time great song.

Like it's so incredibly hard to leave songs like; Oh You Pretty Things, Queen Bitch, 5 years, Rock N Suicide like how can you not be moved when he starts screaming, you're not alone!  Dude was in the zone there for a few years, everything he wrote was just brilliant.

Sure he’s overpaid but Lindor is a really good player even though he’s just above .250. But the more you watch him play the more you like him. He’s a guy who can lead a team to post season.

He's really hard not to love and he's having a historic season.  Has the Grandy happiness, I love ball vibe to him, that has to be infectious in the dugout.

He is toying with batters at this point.

That smirk he made Fri when homeboy got a piece of the ball for a foul when he almost when 9 straight pitches to finish them out, was like, yeah, I'm in another world right now.

    Top 5 Bowie songs?

    This should be interesting.

sh*t, is that even possible?   The dude has like the largest library of music ever and for me, he's probably top 3 favorite artist of all time so  5 is definitely a challenge.  First song at my wedding was "Lets Dance".  lol   Like, I'm not sure anyone has produced better back to back albums that were as good as Honky Dory and Ziggy Stardust.  They are brilliant, cover to cover, some the of the greatest songs ever written.

I'll give this a swing but this definitely changes w/ mood, time and situations but, here is my attempt, the first might be obvious mainstream picks but there is a reason they are classics:

Is Under Pressure allowed?  It might be the greatest song ever written.   lol

Ziggy Stardust - the way the guitars is attacked in that song, with the lyrics and the story.  It's just an unreal song, one of my favorites to play on the guitar as well.  It's start on a fun melodic beautiful strum and then goes into a just straight rock n roll jam when he starts "So where were the spiders!".

Heroes - the first time I heard Heroes, I remember being like, what is this, it unreal good and so different.  I can listen to this beat for an entire day, and then he drops some of the most powerful lyrics ever written.

Changes - the song that made me fall in love w/ Bowie.  Lyrically?  Does it get better?  That piano w/ the violin in that song is just gorgeous.

Sound and Vision - it just makes me happy, instantly.  Bad mode?  Put on Sound and Vision, insta happy.  Every instrument in that song sounds so good.

Rebel Rebel - again, that guitar intro.  The groove to that song, just ridiculous.

    Honorable mentions:

    Moonage Daydream

    Life on Mars

    Suffragette City

    All the Young Dudes

    Fame

    TVC15

    Starman

Wow, that was impossible and I hate it.

Nah, in all seriousness, I agree with him.  Zach had, what I felt, was his first “not so great day” today at practice.  I think a function of that is the defense for the reasons I listed above, but he’s still young and learning too, so there are things Flacco and White both know and understand that he doesn’t.  It would be silly to ignore that.

As I said before, Monday will be interesting because when the pads go on, you see more running plays, and the OL can get more push.  The secondary sounds MUCH improved with Sauce and Reed, but if the OL can hold up more against the pass rush, longer routes can develop and the WRs can get more separation. When that happens, route runners like Elijah Moore and Garrett Wilson should flash more.

    you been going?

Be forewarned: I paid for a PFF account and I’m sitting on a treasure trove of proprietary data that shows why nobody thinks Zach Wilson is any good. I’m not dropping any of it here because I want Zach fans to have a good summer, but just know that I have it.

Stuff like this makes me want to burn all my guitars and possibly sever my hands so i never pick them up again.  This reminds me so much of Zappa's work with a bit of Return to Forever, Rush and Led Zeppelin thrown in for good measure (no pun).  Just beautifully played.  Enjoy the show.

You know what immediately came to mind for me?
