Keep telling yourself that. The Seahawk line is in shambles; starting there isn't indicative of much. Trading opportunities and FA, sure. Who would you have traded for and what would you have given up? Who would you have signed as a starting FA T as they aren't cheap? MB was presumably healthy, regardless of weight, and top tier FAs don't sign for small money, and a mere chance to start.
presuming MB was healthy. LMAO at that

That's where we are now...
Zach going 7-11 isn't a good day for him anymore. Big steps forward.
he was there.. we aren't. When you can be 1-1 on a play that lost yards you really shouldn't look into these numbers too much

It was for immediately capable of starting depth as opposed to project depth, and he did bring in Max Mitchell and some FA depth on the interior.
again.. not true
There was free agency, there was trading oppertunties, and lets not act like we couldn't find a soemone capable of starting in 2nd or 3rd round. LL Looks like Abraham Lucas (Seahawks) and Nicholas Petit-Frere (Colts) both have a good chance to be starters day 1. Both 3rd rounders this past draft.

You can only do so much. Of course, some of us liked OT at 4. Hopefully MB only needs a couple days to get right, and get back at it.
1st round wasn’t the only opportunity he had to bring in depth

do you think this is a fair comparison? Mims was highly thought of coming out of Baylor

Career history
Baltimore Ravens (2002–2008)
New York Jets (2009–2012)
Career highlights and awards
Second-team All-Pro (2006)
Pro Bowl (2006)
you'd have a point if the job was stuffing the run.. but it's not. You could be best player in the world doesn't mean you're good on TV, radio, or podcast.

Not counting all of the athletes who used the local sports networks as a springboard...
Kevin Burkhardt was with SNY before he got a gig with Fox Sports, he's now their lead NFL broadcaster.
Matt Yallof was at SNY before he got a gig for MLB Network and NHL Network
Michelle Beadle was with YES before she got a gig with ESPN
Kim Jones was with YES before she got a gig with NFL Network

comparing Bart Scott to Connor Hughes is...well...

"Dream job"
This is so idiotic. He landed on air gig for one of the largest regional sports networks in country. You know who watches SNY and YES Network? Execs who work for ESPN and NFL Network.
-
Sorry but what's the problem here? It's an on air job for sports network. He's likely getting way better money and is one step closer to ESPN or NFL Network.

But he got everything wrong with regard to the draft. And he stated it with a lot of confidence, implying it was based on inside information.
aside from Gardner pick, what did he get wrong with regard to the draft?

he is a nice down to earth kid, but there is nothing that makes him stand out on the beat. he isnt great with sources, content, or predictions...he is just there.
this is just 100% wrong. This off-season he basically reported all the players the Jets were targeting before they signed them.

He’s ranked 28th. Behind David freaking Mills. The headline is spot on.
Edit: I honestly didn’t know there was a quote (I got this from another forum), so I apologize if there is some asterisk or something to this article that I cant see since I don’t subscribe to The Athletic.
pretty sure the coaches and gm's had nothing to do with the rankings.

It is a different era. You can't compare how much a CB was paid in 2010 to what a QB will be paid in 2022. That's apples and. bananas.
thank you for explaining how stupid your thread is lol

I don’t necessarily care on peoples uniform takes, it’s all 100% personal preference. That said, people cracking on the “stealth black” i do disagree on. Not necessarily on the aesthetics of it, but stealth black or jet black is actually the only thing I can think of since I became a fan in the as a kid in the early 90s that has a remote connotation with the Nickname of the franchise.
what does color black have to do with Jets name? What the Jets are doing here is adding black for the sake of adding black . A lot of teams are doing it right now. A lot of teams did it in the 90's too. Nothing but a cash grab.

Sports Doc: Becton's Injury Not A Career Ender
in NY Jets Forum
Posted
all the other injuries he'll get from playing football will be tho. He's too big to play pro sports. Someone that big is not meant to play athletics.
