  1. You sure are getting ahead of yourself. Calling a game vs. a Parcells coached Dolphins team in Miami in September an automatic win for a 4 win team is a bit of a stretch. And if you think you have a shot to start 3-0, you're in for a rude, RUDE awakening.

Ronnie Brown is the best runner in the division. How is Miami the only team without a good running attack?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Ronnie Brown is one of the worst runners in our division. The Bills, Jets, and Pats starting RBs are all better.

  2. My high school team had that same exact problem at QB. We had alot of kids who had NFL potential, but we had the worst-rated QB in the state. We lost our confidence and fell apart. He was supposedly a star who transferred to my school, but he was a bust. I'm telling you, If we want to win, we need to either try out Erik Ainge as a last resort, or somehow aquire Favre or Matt Ryan or even Colt Brennan. I was very upset when we passed on Brennan all those times.

  3. I hope to have a kid of my own someday. I just don't want to rush into it. I want to establish my career first and make sure I have the time, because I would actually want to be around for my kid. But, again, congrats. Hopefully, he becomes a new Jets fan!

  4. Went from Baghdad to TN in a little over two days not getting out of my uniform once and smelling like road kill bythe time my boots were on ground in Nashville.

It is always amazing to stop in Europe and when you get back to the states. There is a certain smell. For lack of a better term, I will call it clean that you can smell that is not in Iraq.

Good news....nine months of my fifteen month tour is done. Bad news....there will still be five months left when I get back.

I hope everything is going well for everybody. Except for the Yankees. ;)

I don't know you, but it's great to here from someone who has been away in he service. Thanks for serving this country man, just lose the Pats and Sox.

  5. Elton Brand has reached a verbal agreement to sign a multiyear contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to an NBA source who requested anonymity because he is not authorized to speak on player movements.

The deal is believed to be in the $80-million range and expected to span five years.

In another deal today, former Clipper Corey Maggette reached agreement to join the Golden State Warriors in a five-year deal worth about $50 million, according to NBA sources who requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak about player movements. Maggette also opted out of the last year of his Clippers contract last week.

Oh, man. I was looking forward to the Celtics going after Maggette. Hey, at least we can still bring back Posey, hopefully.

  6. I thought of this while arguing with my friend that we made desperation moves through free agency. So if you look at it this way there is no debate that our team will be greatly improved next season...

Kris Jenkins- At the possible worst hell perform, it will be better than D-Rob

Calvin Pace- At the worst hell perform, it will be better than Victor Hobson

Faneca- At the worst he will perform, still better than whoever played guard last year

Woody- At the worst, he will be better than Clement still.

Richardson- Way better than the zero contribution Barnes provided, wasn't he cut mid-season?

So looking at it this way, if our free agents play the worst they can... they are still significant upgrades over what we had last year.

Don't forget Bubba Franks. In my opinion, I would much rather have him as the starting TE rather than Keller, or Baker.

  7. Yeah, the Jets never get the respect they deserve. They say that we still have a question at QB, but didn't they say that in '02, '04, and '06? Look what happened during those seasons. With a new and improved O-Line, the best one we've had in years, Chad Pennington can do the magic he did in '06. So, we have a very accurate QB in Chad Pennington (most accurate all-time percentage-wise), a consistant 1k yard rusher in TJ, two consistant 1k yard WRs in Cotch and Coles, we upgraded our O-Line and I believe it will be top ten this year, we have Kerry Rhodes, no need to explain there, David Harris had 100 some odd tackles in 8 starts AS A ROOKIE, and we got a huge upgrade with Kris Jenkins, Calvin Pace, and Bubba Franks. We also have two of the best kick returners in Leon and J. Miller. I can think of alot more reasons why we'll be good, but I gotta go somewhere.

Yeah, the Jets will be a surprise team this year.

  8. This is very sad news. I remember him in the booth for a couple games this year and he looked so happy to still be living, an now cancer beat him.

    R.I.P

The Yankees should have an honorary ceremony at their next game tomorrow. Very, very sad.
