  1. By production, it's Rice and there's no one else even close to #1. By attributes, it's Moss and there's no one else even close to #1. Everything else is preference and based on what you're looking for. In order, as a pure X: I'd take Moss, Megatron, TO, Julio, Rice In order, as a pure Z: I'd take Moss, Rice, TO, Fitz, CJ In order, as a pure slot: I'd take Rice, CJ, Fitz, TO, Moss
  2. The "just missed the cut" list is crazy. Andre Johnson was already special, but he could have been top 3 if he had any semblance of a real offense or real QB to play with for the majority of his career. Chad Johnson is still the crispiest dude I've ever seen run routes. The only man I'd ever seen stay with him consistently over multiple games was Darrelle - and that's partly why Darrelle is in the convo for best ever. Sterling Sharpe was a little before my time, but growing up and watching nfl documentaries and classic games and youtube videos....man he was special. He played on some really bad teams with really bad QBs and was still tearing it up. I think he only played with Favre for a season before he got hurt and had to retire in his prime. I can't even imagine how his career would have taken off if he was able to play through those back--to-back-to-back Favre MVP years.
  3. After years of being on the wrong side of Jets history, it's nice to see you finally finding your rhythm.
  4. I have no problem with being positive about the Jets. You having a positive view of the Jets young QB is great. What I take issue with is you trying to use the end of last season as an indicator that he's on the upward swing, and then actively dismissing his most recent play. Then you throw around BS about people being negative because they don't live in the make-believe realm that you've existed in since the first day you laid eyes on Zach. I am hoping blindly that Zach becomes great. I would love nothing more to have him leading playoff runs for the next decade. I assure you of that. However, that is an entirely different thought flow from your pretense of being positive based on facts. Facts without any positive or negative spin: He was the worst starting QB in the league last year. His int numbers got better near the end of last year because LaFluer scaled back the offense dramatically which resulted in a slight bump in efficiency, but his production was still awful. He had a great offseason where we all thought we were going to get someone else. He came back and was the exact same Zach from the very first play: inaccurate, inconsistent, turnover prone, and injury prone. Appreciate your suggestion for putting you on ignore - I know you'd love nothing more than that. Unfortunately for you, I come here to discuss the Jets with everyone, you included.
  5. Talking about seeing what you want to fit your narrative is rich coming from you. You fell head over heels for the kid when he was still in the middle of his one good year at BYU and have spammed the board with your narrative since. Again, it’s not one preseason game, and it’s not one throw. There’s a history of bad play from him both in college and in the pros. Despite all of last year and the continuation of that in the first preseason game, you’re clinging to the one good season he had in college when he was playing with one of the best and oldest OLs in D1 against exceptionally bad opponents.
  6. 2 very bad, 7th round rookie level throws. Not one. And speaking of the preseason as if it’s a vacuum is arguing in bad faith. Those were the exact same bad throws that we saw consistently last year, and they were exactly the throws that we were promised he’d developed out of over the offseason. If you’re going to give credence to the 2 throws on 3rd down, then give the same credence to the horrible overthrow and int. Then, take a step back and look at the bigger picture. You’ll find it more amateur than Picasso.
  7. I never wanted either of them. I would have picked Fields if I were the GM in that draft, and I’d pick Fields today if we did a re-do.
  8. My JN sarcasm detector is working about as well as Dwight's gaydar right now. I honestly can't tell who's being serious and who isn't. All I know is that I definitely feel that Flacco gives us the best chance to win in the short term, and allowing Zach to heal up and come back strong and prove everyone wrong is what's best for the long term. If it take 5 weeks, so be it. Let him get right so that he can prove he's worthy of a second contract.
  9. Uhhhh you can’t spell elite without Flacco. DUH. More seriously though, anybody would be a fool not to take Flacco’s prime and superimpose it on Zach for the Jets if given the chance. Last season, Zach was the worst starter in the NFL. If he wins a SB MVP for the Jets and makes countless other playoff runs for the next decade, I’m over the moon. Obviously we all want the Peyton/Brady/Elways of the world, but there’s a reason they’re rare.
  10. I mean, I thought it was a foregone conclusion that it would be “I’m cashews for Minshew.”
  11. You’ve posted like 10 times in this thread about haters, trolls, and bad faith statistical arguments, and have now backtracked all of your points to: My original post had nothing to do with the intent of this thread and I’ve made an ass of myself. When there’s nothing left to be wrong about, deflect and distract. A tried and true method. Well done my friend. With your above post finally making the rest of your posts clear, I think our interactions in this thread have reached their pinnacle. You can have the last word. Go Jets (not only Go Zach Wilson)!
  12. What a sh*t ass response to me actually typing out a real response to the garbage you’ve brought to the thread. Who’s trolling now?
  13. Yes, I asked you to compare their records because you want to evaluate their merits based on W/L records, and you responded with the “as a Jets” record. If you think that Flacco’s non-Jets career has nothing to do with what he brings to the table as QB of the Jets today, then you should also throw away Zach’s non-Jets record at BYU and his 2nd overall pick status, and judge him based only on the Jets. At that point, Zach is garbage and we should go with Mike White - cuz, Jets win percentage as a starter and all that. Now, if your entire argument is that the Jets are better with Zach because he has a .233 career win percentage, then provide Flacco’s career percentage and then we can talk.
  14. Well done, you found the one thing I’ve been wrong about in the entire thread. My mistake, you’re right - you didn’t downvote. My apologies. I thought you had. Regardless, you did call me a hater, and have gone on to say that haters have made their stances clear - implying that I have lots of posts hating on Zach. I’ll admit that I’m sensitive to that because the one thing I’ve learned about my online Jets fan self over the last 15 years on Jets forums is that I hate the haters more than I hate the homers. I hate the haters so much that I rarely even interact with them anymore. It’s not worth my time. This whole Jets fan thing is a hobby of love. I’ve always tried very hard not to be a hater despite how difficult this team makes it. I hated the Sanchez and Darnold picks, but when they showed me something, I rooted like hell for them. @ZachEY can attest as he and I went back and forth a ton, and I assumed the “homer” designation at those times. The posts are all there for you to search. I was hoping the same for Zach but he hasn’t shown me anything yet, and he’s played with significantly better teammates than Darnold. Even then, I never said that I was happy or that I’m not still rooting for him. I said that this might be best because as of right now, Flacco is better than Zach, and therefore for the whole team, it will be beneficial. With that as context, take another gander at my OP and tell me where I’m hating. My whole post is positive about the direction of the team and hopeful for Zach upon his return. Even ended the post with optimism.
  15. Hold on. You attributed W-L to QBs, not me. I was talking about the O functioning better with Flacco than Zach at this very moment. Then, you compared a portion of Flacco’s W/L to Zach’s W/L because it helps your argument. If your argument is that Flacco is an inferior QB based on his win percentage, then evidence it with his entire NFL win percentage. Unless you think Flacco has only started for the Jets, in which case - Google can be your friend.
  16. Well, you downvoted my original post and called me a hater. I made my point clear in the opening post and have spent all of my other responses to you trying to help you get to the point that you so badly missed. Get to my actual point quicker and you won’t get any more responses from me. It’s quite simple.
  17. If you want to compare win percentages, please compare their wins and losses as NFL starters; not just the ones that help your argument.
  18. Take a breath buddy. It’s Saturday after the first preseason game. You have a lot more season left to be using up all your sensitive posts in one thread where you don’t even understand the premise.
  19. Who said anything about win percentage? I wanted to look at the W-L record to talk about their number of losses. Accordingly, Zach is doubly worse than Flacco as starter of the Jets. Therefore, the rest of the offensive players’ development would be better with Flacco. Thanks for providing the numbers to prove my point.
  20. Oh good, the wambulance is here. Find one post of mine trashing any of the Jets QBs over the years. Use that search function. Cant help you if you don’t like dealing in facts, but keep your ******* jerkoffs to the privacy of your own room.
  21. Aren’t you always bragging about how you’re a physicist? You’re quite sensitive to be so logic based professionally. I don’t hate Zach. I wish he were better. If he turns out to be better, I’ll be ecstatic. I said as much in my post. But I’m not just a Zach fan, I’m a fan on the whole team. The entire point of my post is that the injury could have been a “blessing in disguise” because it would help allll of the other young guys on the team develop. Take a break from the numbers and try reading the words of the post that you’re going to bitch about.
  22. I’m with all of this, and to be fair I made my post before news came out that it’s a few weeks as opposed to the whole year. Everything I had ready prior to my post said it was the ACL.
  23. Rich coming from you. Elaborate on your frustrations with me, will you?
