Wouldn't having it in the middle of the country actually SAVE gas on travel?
It has and the SB Experience and SB Village have been open since the 27th with record attendance due to the fact that Indy is a short trip from many surrounding states. Aside from that, Indy is no stranger to hosting big events and we nailed this one!!
-
What a waste of gas.
It should always be near a beach in Florida or California or New Orleans.
Beaches are nice but Indy has hosted the best SB ever and it will return. Guaranteed!!

He's not even healed yet and may never even be cleared to play football again. He even went to europe to have stem cell therapy that is not available in the US. I don't think his prognosis is going to lend to him playing football. I bet he retires as a Colt and stays with the organization in some form or another.

too bad they dont let regular citizens in the superbowl or else new england would be facing a road game lol
lol, but they do and I think it will be in favor of the Giants. I really hope so anyway, I hate the Patriots!
-
I'm rooting for the Giant's and I bet more than half the people attending will be too. Hopefully, it helps the Giants win.

I am hoping that the Giants win and the Patriots lose. No way does any Colt's fan want the cheatriots in our house.

I don't think he can or even knows how. Personally, I think he's a clown. If he doesnt take the Jets to the playoffs next year he will and should be out of a job.
-
There is a rumor going around Indy that he is going to retire and join the coaching staff.
-
Figured this would happen. The Colt's are going to look a lot different next year. I wonder what's next or who?
-
I'm rooting for the Giants, maybe we'll have a Manning at Lucas Oil field after all. Has anyone considered the irony of Baltimore coming to Indy?

Rodgers is a great QB and had no help on Sunday. Driver was the only reliable receiver on the field. That being said, Favre would have won that game and it would have been a hell of a lot more fun to watch.
-
They said the same when Favre left Green Bay -- That didn't turn out so bad --
True, but the circumstances are entirely different. That may change though, time will tell.

I know and understand that the Colts have to rebuild, even a healthy Manning only has a few more years at best. Regardless of when and how he leaves the Colt's it will still be very sad for us fans.
-
Everyone not in a Patriots, Packers, Saints or Steelers uniform wants Peyton, I would imagine.
But a healthy Peyton.
That doesn't set their franchise back 5 years to acquire.
Hopefully its the Jets that can accomplish acquiring him, without destroying the foundation of the team for the next 5-10 years.
If the Colts do release Peyton it will be a very sad day here in Indy. It will look so weird to see him in a uniform other than the Colts.

The Packer's baby, all the way to Indy for the SB!!!!
-
you don't want to put Tim Tebow in that discussion?
I like Tebow and he definitely has potential to be one of the best QB's in the league. If they beat the Patriots this weekend I'll like him even more!
-
The Saints beat the 49er's , no doubt! Packers beat the Giants and then it's a show down of the two best QB's in the league. Brees vs. Rodgers at lambeau field. that's going to be a great game!
-
I'm curious, what makes one a fan of either the Jets or Giants? Does it depend on where you live in NY or is it who your Dad or family rooted for when you were a kid?
I think the Packers are going to give the Giants a smackdown this weekend so it doesnt really matter if you root for the Giants or not.

Having lost my brother a few years ago to drowning, I can tell you that he is going to need to do something to get his mind off of his son's last few minutes. It wouldnt surprise me to see him back at work this weekend.

All times are Eastern.
Thank you! I'm so excited! Cant wait for the draft!

Manning was quoted saying this in the Indy Star....
"Whatever the deadline is," Peyton said, "(the decision) will happen at some point. It doesn't necessarily have to be today or tomorrow. Whatever, my routine is not going to change. I know what I need to do."
Over the weekend, it was reported Peyton would agree to be flexible with contract demands with a new team, accepting an incentive-laden deal that takes into account his rehab from the Sept. 8 neck surgery. According to sources, there will be no lack of suitors if Manning hits the open market -- the Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, etc.
Manning laughed.
"I've always wanted to meet 'sources,' " he said. " 'Source' and 'they' seem to know an awful lot, but they aren't always accurate. I haven't had many discussions with Tom (Condon, his agent). I told Tom all I want to do is continue to rehab."
He is uncertain where that might occur. He likely will spend time at the Colts' West 56th Street facility but might hop-scotch the country so he can throw with familiar receivers.
"I want to go home, too," he said. "We haven't been to New Orleans yet."
