  1. Mike White is now #5 all time in TD passes for the NY Jets. 3 more to equal Richard Todd. SAR I
  2. My wife watches traditional cable, 1080i is good enough. I stream 90% of my content in HDR. Live sports is the only downside. SAR I
  3. Silly boy. Only Thursday Night Football games are in 4K this year, but you missed the World Series. At least you have the Olympics to look forward to. And a handful of NHL an NCAA games. Not much 4K content out there unfortunately. That's why you should savor tonight, because if the Jets don't get a TNF game next year there will be no 4K Jets until 2023 or beyond. SAR I
  4. You're in good shape. Just tune to Channel 1498. You should see an extremely crisp picture, every bead of sweat, every blade of grass. SAR I
  5. Yes, under one of two conditions: 1. You have the Fios One package with the right hardware. You would tune to specific 4K channels that you're already paying for. 2. You pay for standard Fios cable TV and thus have free access to the Fox Sports app. I'm a #2 and I have a 4K TV, so I use the Fox Sports app to stream 4K content. SAR I
  6. Just a head's up that tonight's game is being broadcast in 4K for those of you with 4K TV's and the FOX app (or a cable provider). SAR I
  7. Official, just posted by the NYJ on Twitter. SAR I
  8. Once the decision was made to go to green helmets and a modern interpretation of the 90's uniforms, Nike did a decent job. Instead of old-school arm/leg stripes we wound up with the wedge that looks like an airplane contrail or an airplane wing, it's not awful. As for the logo itself, the old one was straight out of the 70's and looks dated and out of style. It's cool as a retro thing, like on a hat or something, but it feels of-its-era, there is no mistaking it for something current. So it would be awkward to have a modern uniform and a vintage logo, no way Nike was going to do that. The current logo is our old logo without the NY and the oval. It's been on our helmets for 40 of our 60 years, can't really complain. SAR I
  9. That is an illegal alternate uniform and will be called out as such. The 2022 alternate helmet can either be 1) a different color/design of the core uniform using the existing logo -or- 2) an authentic throwback uniform using an authentic throwback logo. This rendering shows an entirely new uniform (earliest 2023 or 2024) and a helmet that would only be allowed if it were our core uniform. If you want to have fun imagining and rendering a 2022 alternate helmet, it must have the existing logo. SAR I
  10. Core Uniform: Any NFL team can change their whole uniform but it needs 2-3 years for design approvals and provide Nike and Fanatics and Dick's Sporting Goods time to liquidate old inventory and manufacture the new ones for retail sale. So earliest the Jets could kill the current look would be 2023 or 2024. Alternate Uniform: Any NFL team can add an alternate with 1 year's advance notice. There are specific rules about running with an alternate or an entirely new design that maintains core colors, core logos, etc. The deadline for the alternate helmet was July 31 of this year, so if the Jets are just releasing a new alternate helmet for 2022, or are doing a whole alternate/throwback uniform including the helmet, that decision needed to be made back in July and would be in the design stages right now. Woody tweeted in June or July showing old Jets helmets, the Titans helmet, and a new black 2019 helmet, so I think we've got something alternate cooking for next season. SAR I
  11. The Jets can only beat playoff teams, that's the problem. Rams, Browns, Titans, Bengals are our last 4 wins. When we play a winning team that takes us for granted and relaxes and takes the week off, we can eke out a last minute win. When we play a losing team that takes no team for granted, we get shellacked. This is going to be [insert any losing team we've played in the last two seasons here] all over again. SAR I
  12. The logo is the one thing that can't change in 2022, would be 2024 at the earliest based on NFL protocols. Even for next year with the alternate helmet opportunity, the color and design may change but it must feature the existing logo unless we go with a full-on throwback uniform like the 68's or the Titans. SAR I
  13. I mean, all Reich has to do is take away the 5 yard screen pass and Mike White will struggle to get to 200, right? The Bengals had the most ill-conceived pass coverage I've ever seen. Well, as a Jets fan, that's actually not true. SAR I
  14. It's no different than what we have now! LOL. Grey as a third color would have been better than black. Grey pants, alternate grey jerseys, alternate grey helmets, would have been much better than black. SAR I
  15. I think the Green/White and the White/White look good, they're a modern interpretation of the 80's uniform that so many begged for over the years. I didn't want it but I've grown to be fine with it. I don't like any of the other combos. Black/Black, Green/Green, and whatever they're doing tonight, no thanks. SAR I
