slats
Merriweather's not a good fit on the Jets. Jets run a precise dee, and they need players who do their jobs - not guys looking to get on the ESPN highlight reels. The Jets want heady, lunchpail guys who won't make a lot of mental errors at the safety positions. DB's who don't dance.

Barcs
If Idhedigbo beat him for the safety spot after we let him go, why on earth would we want the guy he beat? I'm happy with our safety unit right now. Smith, Pool and Leonard > fairyweather.

dbatesman
His technique is putrid, makes way too many boneheaded plays, and he's pretty bad when it comes to missed tackles. He signed with the Bears. /obv
Blackout
PatriotsHavenDerek Havens by PatsFanGarb Brandon Meriweather is drawing a lot of interest from the #Cowboys, #Redskins, #Browns, #Raiders, & #Jets. Could be signed quickly. we got rid of GARB? thank god

flgreen
Depends who else in interested. If he goes the Braylon route that nobody is beating his door down, you sign him cheap after week one. if several teams are interested, and I think there will be, pass
dbatesman
Oh boy, today should be fun. I enjoyed it, even if the cost was fumbling away the league's best player and basically handing Aten the rhetorical knives with which he'll be flaying me for the next seventeen weeks or so. I was in the stands at that cluster**** at ND yesterday, which should have been some sort of omen.

I'm hoping they sh*t the bed for the first few weeks so prices will drop and I can head out there. South Bend's probably a top fiver on the bucket list.
