Jets vs Cowboys

Dallas is better than a lot of people think. It should be a very close game. A last second field goal will decide this game.

I really think Dallas is poised for a good year. They have question marks but I was impressed with how the new coach asserted himself last year. And they were quiet this offseason. With an owner like they have, when they are quiet I think that is actually a good thing.

The Cowboys have been hyped by the media since the early 90's, but the bottom line is this, it's now 2011 and they're a team that's coming off a 6-10 losing season. Not to say they won't improve this up coming season, but I highly doubt that Dallas will be able to beat the Jets inside of JetLife stadium come Sunday night. We're just a much better football team.

Tony Romo only played 6 games last season, the Cowboys went 1-5 with Romo under center. Romo wasn't the reason why they couldn't win either, the Cowboys just aren't a good football team and it's as simple as that. Tony Romo played very well, going 148/213, 1,605 yards, 69.5 completion%, 11 TD's/7 INT's with a QB rating of 94.9 after 6 games last season. Romo may be coming back, which is a good sign for Dallas, but that still doesn't change the fact that Dallas will still struggle this season.

jets D will dominate. offense, who the heck knows? but the emotions should be off the charts

Jets fans get nervous we have no line depth....imagine how Cowgirl fans feel?

This is how I'm feeling. 'Boys will be starting what are essentially three rookies on their OL. I don't care what they have at the skill positions, I just don't see them executing very much against the Jets' front seven with that OL. Jets will be blitzing endlessly, and they'll never know where it's coming from next.

Our offense may be a different story. I'll settle for a 10-9 win, but I expect more.

Very low scoring game, both offense struggle. Nobody scores a TD, we lose 9-12.

I know what you're up to, but the Jets are in year three of the Ryan defense, while the Cowboys are in week four. There should be a couple mistakes made there that even a model can take advantage of.

Technically week one since the preseason sees the starters play so little and has almost no gameplanning.

No JiF, that was 2010.

Spreads for opening day are always hinky. With a healthy Romo and that other Ryan guy coaching the D, I already feel queasy. I say it a pick-em game.

I also never trust week 1 spreads, but the Jets are a bargain right now. Not that I ever feel confident betting the Jets, but with the 3 points for home field the Jets should be giving more than a point and a half to the Cowboys.

I'm not afraid. I think the Jets are going to become who they are supposed to with the Rex/ Sanchez era in it's 3rd year. Like was said, Dallas has a piecemeal O line plus losing their tough yardage RB this offseason in barber will affect them as well. Romo is coming off of a major injury and coming back to a WR that he barely played with and without Roy williams. No way they can deal with the blitz packages we'll be throwing at them. I don't think they will suck, but Dallas should not be able to handle this Jets team for a full 60 min. Jets out muscle Dallas and beat the hell out of Romo.

17-6
