You would think a starting QB would know the rules

Here's a quote from Bolly on the intentional grounding:

"A miscommunication," Bollinger said. "I don't know the rules. Pressure was coming, I was trying to get rid of it ... the wrong place, obviously."

He probably doesn't know the rules because our Dunce for a HC doesn't know them either. How could a QB not know the Intentional Grounding rule?

They change the nuances of that silly intentinal grounding rule every week

I never heard about any changes to the rule and if the rule was changed don't you think a smart coach would explain the change to the players?

Bolly did the right thing. No sack. No interception

And move us right out of FG range.

I didn't see the replay but I thought the pass was close enough that there should have been no flag. But that is without seeing it a 2nd time.

I did think that his previous pass attempt was grounding and it wasn't called.
