villain_the_foe
Today! Make a statement for once.I'm so sick of him. Before Schotty? Please, Smith nor anyone else on our defense is the problem. We cant put points on the board, period. This defense gave up 10 points tonight. If we cant win it aint because of Eric Smith. Integrity28
100% on Tannenbaum. Last safety he drafted... in 2006 A lot of this mess is on Tannenbaum, but this is one of the main examples of neglectful roster replenishing.

Mo Lew
Villain if you dont think Smith was a major reason we lost you're wrong man. Not only did he lose containment on the biggest play of the game, he would have been dead to rights on another TD if Tebow could throw the ball. HE IS HORRIBLE. He cant cover, he has no instincts, he cant catch the ball. He's good at running two steps behind his man and assisting someone else on the tackle when they get their hands on the receiver. He's like letting someone from the Make A Wish foundation live out their dream by playing for the Jets for a day. By far the worst captain on any team in any sports league. I cant believe we resigned him.

Bleedin Green
Forget all of this... I'm going to invent a time machine with the sole intent of going back in the past and convincing Smith's mother to have an abortion. A "highlight" reel of his Jets career should be enough to do the trick. After that, onto Mama Schitthead!
Latinlawyer
Smith sucks balls. Cut his a$$. He sucks as a safety. He couldn't cover anyone and he has a tendency to get personal foul penalties. With Gronk and hernandez in the division along with Fasano, we need a Safety that can cover tight ends. Smith and Leonard are liabilities. LL
joewilly
100% on Tannenbaum. Last safety he drafted... in 2006 wrong. Maybe 50% Tanny at most. Lots of players on lots of teams get drafted and don't work out. It's the coaching staffs job to recognize a slow no talent player and cut or trade him.no matter how much our special teams god likes him

It's the GM's job to continue to add talent to this roster, in all areas. Tannenbaum was so busy trading away picks for high end talent, he neglected many positions, safety being the biggest one. A handful of guys make bank and the rest are more or less vet minimums.
