bLguerriero1
i've read a couple articles about how his behavior lately has scared off a lot of teams in this upcoming free agency... http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=An1IaOt5dGfBTj0Z2vVACupDubYF?slug=jc-cole_direct_snap_desean_jackson_free_agency_eagles_120611 ... I just love the way this guy can play and maybe under rex and guy like holmes (who he is sort of like), he can get his act together ... just brought it up to help get through the week
THE ILK
I think if Rex had him, he'd have rings.

I just love the way this guy can play and maybe under rex and guy like holmes (who he is sort of like), he can get his act together ... just brought it up to help get through the week I've honestly been pondering this question all year. While I do think Desean is a bona fide superstar, I just don't like the idea of 2 small Wr's who play the same type of game on the same team. We got Holmes and need a BIG, PHYSICAL, FREAK to play opposite of him. Plax is great for now...but he isn't getting younger or faster (and he wasn't all that fast to begin with). I really want to see if Braylon would be willing to come back after this season or the Jets to draft a big wide reciever that they can develop. Preferably the latter. His pouting on the sidelines is only hurting him in FA hes not very intelligent which is another thing this team does not need.

Damaged89
I would love to see the Jets Draft a stud WR eh drafting receivers is tricky. They usually take a couple years to develop, and then you have to pay them big money if they work out. If they develop right away (like Jackson did) they complain about getting a new deal. Or alternately, they don't work out and the fans kill you for drafting a bust. I think the Jets have been smart staying away from high first round receivers. It's a risky proposition if you aren't in a draft slot where you can grab Calvin Johnson or AJ Green.

Yep its tricky and I agree with you for sure, but we really have to think about getting at least 1 young Stud WR our QB can grow with and even though Im not a big Santonio Fan I would not mind Santonio Kerley and another young kid that can stay here consistently and not play revolving WR's every year. We know Plax is not a long term answer so I think who ever we get has got to be a big target prefrebly with some speed. i think we are getting clsoe to the point of at least a small rebuild and if were going to do it now is the time because we can compile some draft picks with some of our older players that might be able to fill in for contending football teams. We have needs at LB, Safety, RB and 2 of our 5 O-lineman can possibly be replaced as well. Tough decisions in the next offseason.

Il Mostro
Desean? Talented guy. Selfish. Head case. Would not be an impact player in this offense. Do not want.

NYJets90
If we were to go after a WR in Free Agency next year I might lean more toward Marques Coleston because of his size on blocking (6'4" 225). DeSean, at 5'10" 175 is too small to do what Braylon or Plaxico do blocking.
