CTM Posted December 7, 2011 Share Posted December 7, 2011 Once upon a time, both during our time at JI and after our move to JN, we had a core of posters who comprised the "Night Crew". Yeah, we were a clique for lack of a better term, but it was a friendly clique of late night posters who spent countless hours hanging out, building friendships, and talking about whatever there was to talk about. Football, Porn, ok,,.,Football, TV, movies, whatever sporting event was on TV at that hour. We need to get that back. We need to get the people that comprised the Night Crew, ALK, Bob, Dick Kotite, EY, et.al, back. We need to get some new members into the fold. Too much infighting. Too much drama. Too much taking things serious around here. It's time to have some fun. Our first order of business is to get some of the original posters back. There's a lot of mindless chatter on forums, which is fine but not really my interests at the moment. I mean I probably could spend more time getting to know people. I would just rather spend my time doing my research and posting for Jets fans to understand the dynamics of the team and to teach them more about football. But this is perfect, I'm a night time of guy. I'd rather spend time making friends, getting to know people at night. Gives me a reason to shy away from my research a bit. It wasn't that far outside the realm to stay up until 3 AM posting. Nothing will ever beat my Forum Coup d'Etats, where I'd post in every thread so my name was seen as the last poster in every single one. I started posting senior year of college. I was upstate, so there were no Jets fans, so the boards were a cool place to shoot the sh*t besides talking to my dad on the phone. Had I know that 6 years later I'd still be trying to convince people why the Quarterback sucks, I probably would have just started the car in the garage and waited. When I was overseas it was just Panzer me and a couple of insomniacs posting. I was 6 hours ahead and staying up until 2 am which is only 8 pm in NYC. Then I would get to work and only Panzer, Kansas Hell and a few others would be posting. I'd have to actually ******* work until lunch! I was always just floating around JI, but something about Soothe just irked me, so I came here and stopped altogether going to the other site. I'm still amazed that you guys get post counts in the thousands. I've been here since 06 and haven't cracked 700 yet. I feel kinda creepy, almost stalker like when I look at the disparity in posts. Really, I just hate typing, and really have nothing to say that hasn't been said.
