Jet27
Way too funny, here is my take on what will happen....last year when Leonhard went down the very next game we got smacked bad....this year Leonhard goes down and the very next game we get smacked again.... Our team will come to play on saturday, while the Defense will come up with the exotic packages that will allow Manning to turn the ball over. Our secondary will shut down the WR's...expect to see some new wrinckles at LB and Safety positions. You heard it here first! The Giants gap run offense, does not match - up well against our run defense. Expect a very very physical game. Expect our QB to do well. Jets 27 - Giants
JustInFudge
Lets think positively..... When Greene rushes for 100 yards, the Jets are 6 - 0. Jets offense is ranked 7th overall. Jets redzone offense is ranked 1st. My fear is a slow start, sh*tty play by Sanchez and turnovers makes us abandon the running game yet again...and bye bye season

Klecko73isGod
Its going to happen folks. Time to prepare yourself for the loss and no playoffs. Its sad. I know, but hopefully something good will come from having a disappointing season. Hopefully, it teaches this team how to sieze an opportunity and stop making it so difficult. 2 seasons in a row they've had a chance to sink the Pats ship but instead they've handed them the division in an embarrassing fashion. The Jets are second fiddle in NYC. I appreciate Rex saying that its unacceptable and he wants to be second to none, but its true. In my life time, I've watched the Giants win 3 Super Bowls and make it to 4 while the Jets have lost in every AFC championshp game they've been in since I've been alive. This isnt a good match up. Sanchez will struggle vs. a defense who can generate a pass rush with their front 4, disguise man coverage and play a soft vanilla zone - which is the exact type of D that gives him fits. Hunter is about to get abused again and Mark might die (which might be a good thing in the long run). Expect turnovers and penalties galore. Our joke of a defense is about to get exposed for the 2nd straight week. A 3 headed rushing attack with 2 guys that are difficult to tackle will expose our slow defense and remind us of the AFC Championship game from last year when the D forgot how to tackle. Our lack of a pass rush will leave Revis/Cro/Wilson with too much time to try and guard their vertical passing attack. Expect a big day for Eli and that nasty WR core. Giants - 33 Jets - 17 Season over in an embarrassing loss. There's always next season. Happy Holidays. Best omen for a win I could have possibly hoped for! No, you were knocking him for talking too much and not preparing the team...which this week, he's had more to say than any other week all season long. Thats the irony I'm finding here. Just like last week, the Jets dont match up well vs. the Giants. Sanchez struggles vs. teams who can generate a pass rush with their front 4 and who can disguise a zone with man. They will crowd the line, Sanchez cant read it, and he will look awful. We cant generate a pass rush and Manning will have all day to throw to 3 very good WR's who you cant expect to be covered for more than 4-5 seconds. I dont see this going well. Best omen for a win I could have possibly hoped for! Yeah, thats what you said last week.
The Crusher
Not this year. Last year in the playoffs we got that Crumpler drop which saved us early. Integrity28
Yeah I expect this game will be pretty tough to stomach. Eli is going to tear us a new butthole. I hear we might still have a shot at the playoffs anyway? Maybe we'll play the Colts, and they'll rest their starters. Gotta save Orlovsky for the playoffs. SpartanJet
I'm fairly sure they will lose this week. Smashmouth
The funniest part is, I think we lose this game, and all the chips fall correctly for us again, we beat the Dolphins and make the playoffs at 9-7. Then, we go on to beat the Texans. People talk about our 5-2 playoff record, and then we lose by about 30 to the Pats the following week. Jets fans still declare that we are better than them, though. you got almost everything right..... but you got it wrong when you said we lose to the pats. I think we beat the Pats, the hype starts, only to lose yet again in the AFCCG . Now thats Jets football

Giants definitely have a lot of knuckleheads, though. Tuck's more whiny than anything, at least when it comes to the Jets. Over the last few years in the preseason, him and Jacobs constantly feel the need to go on and on to make sure everyone knows they're worlds better and get really whiny about it. I remember a particularly sad attempt to explain how much better the prior years team was despite the Giants missing the playoffs and the Jets going to the AFC Championship. Then the other day, he started talking about how he has a Super Bowl ring and directing it towards Rex, which I find funny that a guy is trying to trash talk a coach because he got his only ring as an assistant when the player in question got his only ring as a backup, and they have gotten progressively worse on defense since he became a starter. It actually sounds like a lot of Giants fans I know these days, he clearly has a major insecurity complex with the fact that while the Giants are without question by far the more historically successful team, the Jets have been more so since Rex came to town. Frankly, I really don't get it. More often than not I couldn't give a crap what the Giants do, and if our team had the Giants past success, I would care even less, but for some reason a lot of people associated with that team can't handle the idea that anyone could ever possibly think the Jets were better. Of course, it seems only appropriate that Holmes starts running his mouth as soon as I made this point to begin with. Go figure.

Jetkid94
I'm here for the people. Its a Christmas Eve game and I just dont want everyone to have high expectations and ruin what should be a wonderful day with our family and friends. So because you predict a loss, that means I'll change my attitude and agree? Nope. We are a good team and will win. Then we will go to the playoffs and make a serious run. Don't see why people actually post about how were going to lose and just expect it. What's the point in being a fan if you expect to lose and root against the idea of making the playoffs???? Guess I'm confused with the attitude from a lot of posters on the board.

jason423
Ill be disappointed if we lose this game simply because I think we are the better team. In my own rankings I keep the Jets have been right around number 11 all season long while the Giants are around 18 and there is a big difference between that. One team is above average and the other below average. The problem with the Jets is that they are stat padders against bad teams where the game just seems to snowball for the opposition late while the Giants just play like garbage against lousy teams but often play up to a better teams level. But there are matchups I dont like in this game. The Giants willingness to throw deep and take chances is a nightmare for our guys. Id almost think the Jets have a better chance in a rain or wind storm. That helps the Giants secondary but our team throws the ball 5 yards a pop so its not like we are going to take advantage of it anyway. Nicks/Revis worries me a little. For whatever reason I see Stevie Johnson in Nicks and Johnson had two very good games against Revis. Both big name corners have to intercept the football when Eli throws it to them. Its rare they get alot of chances but I see them being targeted alot. On offense they better have Mulligan and Keller right next to Hunter everytime JPP is over him. That guy will get 6 sacks against Hunter solo. He is that good and Hunter is that bad.

I don't post on here much, but I do read the boards and I couldn't agree with you more! I'm so tired of the whinny drivel on this board! It must be therapy for people to come in here and complain how crappy we are and how we're going to lose every game...blah...blah. I'm a fan and I root for my team through thick and thin and while I might be pissed off at losing games, that doesn't mean I don't go into the next week with a fresh attitude and the mindset that we're going to kick some a$$. More times than not over the last 3 years we've played excellent with our backs against the wall. I'm not saying we're going to dominate the Giants, but take that 45-19 loss out of your head. It's one game and the score means nothing at this point. I truly believe we have a great shot at beating the Giants and the Dolphins. Why are people so damn afraid? Let's go out and kick them in the effing mouth! We can't be great every year, but if the players we have give it all they have then that's all I can ask of this team. We're a good football team and we have the ability to beat anyone.
