sirlancemehlot
Parcells???? seriously, you have to be kidding great head coach -- one of the worst GMs whereever he was allowed to do it.... think Dorian Boose Boose was a 2nd round pick, #56 overall. Vernon G. was a one. #4 overall
afosomf
Mike Tannenbaum unquestionably the best GM the Jets have ever had working for them FACT The only thing Tanny is good at is preparing Excel w/sheets FACT
jbone
The only joke in this thread is you tryin to say Tanny is better than Parcells at anything football related. Perhaps he can hire Parcells as an advisor, Tom Moore style, to teach Tanny how to evaluate and develop talent. Parcells=Hall of Fame Tanny=Hall of Shame in another couple years if he continues to draft the way he has.
SteveNap
Does everyone forget that Bradway still works for the team and has a huge influence in what draft picks we make? Tannenbaum's best non 1 or 2 pick, as stated in this thread is Shonn Greene. Tanny didnt want to trade up for Greene, he was influenced to do so in our war room, by none other than Terry Bradway, among others. Tanny can not get credit over Bradway for anything, especially when Bradway is still making a lot of calls on who we are drafting.

Perhaps he can hire Parcells as an advisor, Tom Moore style, to teach Tanny how to evaluate and develop talent. Parcells=Hall of Fame Tanny=Hall of Shame in another couple years if he continues to draft the way he has. Parcells took over four teams as GM and bailed on the Dolphins when Ross started parading JLo and Da Birdman through the facility. The combined win percentage of the Jets/Pats/Cowboys for the three years PRIOR to Parcells' arrival was 24% (Pats: 9-39; Jets: 10-38; Cowboys: 15-33). The combined win percentage for those teams for the three years AFTER Parcells left was 61% (Pats: 27-21; Jets: 28-20; Cowboys: 33-15). The man could draft some stiffs along the way, but he knew how to build a team to compete for the long haul.
jbone
Not to mention Tannenbaum pretty much learned everhything he knows football wise from Parcells. First job was under Belichick in Cleveland. We all know who taught Belichick. Tanny's first job out of law school was under Parcells with the Jets. SG3, it's good to be a fan, but don't be blind homer.
