JonEJet
You lost me at Martin going 3rd But it was a nice comeback....the rest of the draft is spot on, and makes "sense"
HessStation
You lost me at Martin going 3rd But it was a nice comeback....the rest of the draft is spot on, and makes "sense" Yeah the top of the draft is silly because you don't know who will trade up for RGIII and trying to guess is even more of a waste of time. So I figured to try and take the player best suited for the team. Most likely Browns move up to 2 take RGIII and Viking to take Kalil...but I would contend Rams would/could end up taking Martin at #4.

denden29
Jets Draft: 1. Melvin Ingram OLB/DE, South Carolina 2. Lamar Miller RB, Miami 3. Brandon Brooks OG, Miami OH 4. Vontaze Burfict ILB, Arizona State 5. Josh Bush S, Wake Forest 6. Marquis Maze WR, Alabama 7. Landon Walker OT, Clemson Nice job, hurt your back again so we can see rounds 3-4. Really like Brooks the Jets need o-line help bad. I think people forget Sluason and Moore both FA in 2013, going to lose one of them. I think you may be able to get him at #108, so I'd take my chances and hope for him there. Burfict is a mess can't touch him at all. Understand the temptation first round talent in round four but I'm wondering if he even wants to play. Like the safely pick in the fifth round. Everyone wants to panic and pick a safety ASAP, I feel don't reach improving the defense other places, ILB, CB OLB; can help your safeties out anyway. Jetscode1
Nice work. I like how you matched Hightower and the Eagles...from all the coverage lately, we're starting to see his stock rise...in fact, if he does last somehow get by the Eagles I wouldn't mind us taking him. Since he didn't in your mock...Ingram may be the choice. Miller...looks like the real deal...did he do enough in the pass catching drills to convince he can play on the third down? Brooks...I'm thinking we need to address the OG position as well...rather have someone with a mean streak but he has the build and ran well at his Pro day. Burfict...do not want...this year Tanny needs to clean up the locker room...not add inmates to the asylum. Bush...you must know something the rest of the experts don't...couldn't find enough about him...have to think the Jets address this position a little earlier...not sure who the Jets like in the draft...wish we had kept Lowery TBH. Maze...too small...makes his $$$ in the slot/specials...didn't we just draft Kerley? Walker...nice pick at this point...we have need at the position...he comes across as someone we want on the team. Overall Grade: C Why: I like reading your stuff but too many questions marks with this mock plus I really don't want Burfict.

Doing it by team is a lot more difficult as you're considering team needs vs. bpa and which teams are prone to reach or march to the beat of their own drum. I will say I was actually disappointed with what was left for the Jets in the second lol. Miller over Martin was a tough call but Jet's need more game changers so...I was also tempted to take Bobby Wagner, Harrison Smith or Ta'amu. Brooks reminds me of Moore a bit. Bush and Maze are big time steals imo. I've been listening to Tony Pauline (CBTNY) on Bush. I also think Burfict is worth the flier mid to late rounds. SenorGato
That Jets mock is porn. The Martin thing was a shock, but I liked the mock. I'd say more but typing on the phone sucks.
Jets Voice of Reason
Would love that draft if that'd be our haul. The only thing I'd be disappointed with would be not taking a WR higher. I think there's just a lot of interesting projects, guys with interesting size-speed ratios, but I guess the run on them would be in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Yep especially for the Browns. For all intents and purposes you have to imagine the trade from #4 to #2 would be say, their 1,3 & 5 this year and next but anyway...RGIII, Upshaw and Fleener. Pats, Jags and Steelers would make out well too.

Yeah, I thought about Sanu but his combine 40 scared me away lol. But then it really isn't fair to keep Wright in the first round I though, then I was like whatevs. Wright def shows he's got game speed, just weird form on his sprints (flailing arms). Was thinking Toon, Joe Adams, or Marvin Jones in the 3rd-4th... but really like Maze as a late pick. Sure you have small, quicker than fast but not a lot of burners here who can actually play to boot.

HessStation
I'd love our haul. Maze is the 6th would be a sleeper. He reminds me of Holmes. Thanks and I agree. I'm already starting to double think in hindsight though. Wright, Wilson might be too high, I think more Corners will be taken earlier...Brockers, Cox, Fleener, Mike Adams, Branch, Doug Martin are probably a little too low down the board. Hill and Poe are skyrocketing and Upshaw could be plummeting. Not so sure what's going on with him right now.
Greenseed4
Nice job Hess, I prefer Doug Martin over Lamar Miller...and we could probably land a reciever like AJ Jenkins, or McNutt in the 5th over a no-name safety prospect. But even as is, this haul would be incredible. Something to consider, Mannings landing is going to affect where Matt Flynn winds up, and that could put a spin on who moves up to #2. The Browns seem pretty adamant about keeping both 1st round picks, so I see them going hard after Flynn. That could put Miami, Washington, and the un-named, mystery team scrambling to get up to the 2 spot. It could potentially shake up the entire draft. bitonti
so in this mock, what did CLE give up to get to 2? just the 4th? a future 1st? just curious cause it doesn't seem like they gave up their 22 or their 2nd? as for the Jets... love Ingram, also really like Miller but RB in 2 might be overkill. ( Might take a RT/OG if the board fell like that)

I already don't like some of my picks too, lol. Wright, Wilson too high... Brockers, Cox, Fleener, Mike Adams, Branch, Doug Martin too low

You think the Cards are pulling the plug on Kolb? I thought they were pretty high on Skelton, so it doesn't make much sense to get another 2nd or tier QB in Tannehill. I think they go for Manning or bust...but I could be wrong.

Brockers, Cox, Fleener, Mike Adams, Branch, Doug Martin too low welcome to my world of the instant second guess. I think you got Brockers and Fleener about right. There's no reason to draft Michael brockers super high. He doesn't have production and he didn't work out all that well (like Poe).
