hoping4ASuperBowl
per Rotoworld: 49ers signed WR Randy Moss to a one-year contract. If any coach in the league can keep Moss in check, it's Jim Harbaugh. And he's probably going to need to at some point, especially if the Niners re-sign weak-armed, tentative Alex Smith. Moss can still run fast in a straight line, but if recent history is any indication, he's not going to fight for poorly thrown downfield passes. In fantasy terms, it's a weak fit for Moss' fantasy potential. Harbaugh engineers a run-first offense, and Moss will probably be lucky to catch 50 balls assuming he plays 16 games. Greenseed4
What's the over/under on him quitting the team after Alex throws "deep" at his feet?
GronkWelkHead
I think it's a great signing for the 49ers. Only a one year deal, likely at the vet minimum with incentives. Randy knew he f'd up in 2010 and wanted back in football badly. He'll play his a$$ off (at least for one year) to prove all the doubters wrong. If reports out of NO are true, and he can still run a 4.3, he's a steal.(as long as you don't expect him to block on running plays)
PFSIKH
Good low risk high reward move.
Garb
I wish him the best of luck. When he's "on" he's a pleasure to watch play.
Smashmouth
And so it begins. Told you guys the niners would start getting talent around Alex smith. I think they will get more in the draft as well. If rumors are true and Moss ran a 4.35 then hes the perfect fit for the niners to open up their offense. If he does not work what did they waste 2.5 mil ? Good Move
Smashmouth
Super Bowl. Agreed but I dont think they are done., The defense is so solid I expect these guys to load up on skill players in the draft
