hoping4ASuperBowl
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Saints have agreed to terms with LG Carl Nicks on a five-year, $47.5 million contract. The deal includes $31 million guaranteed, topping Logan Mankins as the highest-paid guard in both annual pay and up-front money. The Bucs have landed arguably the two biggest prizes of the first 16 hours of free agency in Nicks and Vincent Jackson, following through on a promise to surround Josh Freeman with premier talent. Arguably the best guard in the NFL, Nicks will slot in opposite RG Davin Joseph, giving the Bucs an imposing frontline. As of Tuesday night, the Saints were "making a push" to sign Ben Grubbs as Nicks' replacement. https://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/statuses/179929488094789632
