Clinkscales and current Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie were teammates at the University of Tennessee so they are familiar with each other unlike when Clinkscales was looking at St.Louis earlier this offseason for their GM position. For now we have no clue what position he would be placed at if the Raiders were to hire him and what kind of impact this would have on the Jets draft as Clinkscales was involved in drafting current starting QB Sanchez and 0 sacks in 3 years Gholston. I have no idea how things are working with Davis gone now, but the one thing Oakland has always tried to be ahead of the game with was their staffing and rosters with minorities. Drafting Dickey, hiring Flores and Shell...etc. There was actually a few rumors floating around during draft time a few years back that he was pretty adamant about Russell because he wanted a black QB.
