Considering that no current veteran linebackers have had any success covering Gronkowski, it's hard to imagine that a rookie from a small school can come in, in a reserve role, and slow him down. What does Laron Landry bring to the defense? He replaces Kerry Rhodes as the NFL safety most often featured in homoerotic self-portraits. If we've learned one thing about Rex's D, it's that it functions whether or not you have safeties that can run. If Landry stays healthy, he'll resurrect his career. It's just hard to imagine him and his juiced-up, overgrown body staying in one piece long enough to make an impact. When did people start wanting a FS again? What's the advantage? Antrell Rolle, Nick Collins, Darren Sharper, Troy Polamalu, etc. Teams aren't winning Super Bowls without playmaking safeties. When do you admit you're a program Max wrote?
