PFSIKH
I bet most Sox fans will say the buyout is worth every penny. An article in the Globe quoted Larusa alluding to the possibility Renteria might not have the mental make-up to play in Boston. Think how good Manny's D could be once he 'escapes' Boston. Imagine the possibilities.

No, unlike the gutter snipe that infest NY stadiums, Boston had passionate fans that expect the best from their players. Take the Skanks away and the rest of NY sports reeks of a history of mediocrisy. Which is why Skank fans strike out as their last bastion of hope is crumbling away under a burdensome owner. Maxman
It has to be rough to play in front of 34,000 fans everyday. All of whom expect their team to lose.

Yes the very same fans who threw a baseball in the face of Pedro Martinez during your WS parade. Gotta love the passion. The same timid fans who up untill the FLUKE were as quiet as a mouse in church because the KNEW the sox would lose. Yet they expected the best? mbn007
I'll give you that Sox fans are in a frenzy about their team. That said, the biggest fishbowl in Sports is NY. No 2 ways about it. For crying out loud, there are 50+ media gusy in the clubhouse before a July game with the Royals!!
