I gave him an invite to come on over to the dark side. Hopefully he'll make it over.

RSJ
Definitly should come over. He would fit right in.

Kinda cynical, like everyone else!
Preston Howley III
I'm just curious, I don't think I've ever seen it done before but, can Herm quit at seasons end, and then sign a contract to coach another team? Is that even an option for him?
RSJ
No it's not an option. He would need the Jets cooperation in voiding his current contract in order to do that.

Then I don't see him quiting, and walking out on gauranteed money. Darn.
RSJ
Then I don't see him quiting, and walking out on gauranteed money. Darn. It depends on the offer that he has on the table from another team. With a 2-14 record it is unlikely he will get a better offer though. But if he did he could go to the Jets and ask to be let out of his deal. Like I have said many other times I would not take Woody saying Herm is safe seriously. He said it when the Jets still could have savaged the season somewhat. I doubt he expected this disaster. Plus even he has to know that it does no good to kill your coach in the media before the season is up and you are really ready to fire him. I think he can get another deal. I can't figure it out; look at Fassel's resume and look at Herm's. And yet, Fassel isn't even a blip on the radar but Herm's got team's waiting in line to grab him? Makes zero sense.

Lions fans want Herm as their coach. I just don't get it. I guess it's because he's smooth speaking and has the media up his ass. I honestly have no idea why everyone has a love affair with Herm.
