sirlancemehlot
That touchdown to McCareins was a farce. totally blown call that went our way and helped us win a game. The pass was totally uncatchable and the Raiders have a right to be annoyed at such lousy officiating. (see how it works. you should try it sometime, it really puts the mind at ease knowing you've given an objective an straightforward assessment to a situation the rest of the viewing public knows anyway. Just thought it might help alleviate the demons of denying the obvious so doggedly and for so long.)
Maxman
That JMAC TD was unbelievable. First of all what were the Raiders thinking? Had they just left JMAC open he would have simply dropped the past. I guess the Raiders don't watch much game film. No way he comes down in bounds though. Wouldn't even be close. Alk
That one play had no baring on the outcome of the game. If they would have called that play the other way, Davis just would have put in his third string qb to ensure a loss. And if you had watched the game today, you would have seen some ridiculous calls against the Patriots. But again, I realize that it goes both ways and today definately wasn't one of our days. But being a decent team, we were able to play through it instead of cry about it for three years.

faba
The Jets got a gift touchdown yesterday with that call-Justin was not in bounds on the play and was hardly touched must less pushed out of bounds. Makes you think what was the reply official looking at there

With the NFL playoffs right around the corner, why are so many Jet fans starting draft threads? The draft isn't until April.

With the NFL playoffs right around the corner, why are so many Jet fans starting draft threads? The draft isn't until April. Jets fans are only looking forward because the immediate future is less hopeful than the distant future. The Jets were a good team before losing some key players. Our CS is only successful when given close to ideal situations. They cannot overcome adversity. The Jets, like the Pats, are not as good as they were last season. So we look to next season. Honesty can be very liberating. Homerism is tiresome. With the exception of Garb, who calls it like she sees it, too few Pats fans will admit a blown call in their favor, a step-back in success level, or a deterimental loss in personnel. It's always bluster and arrogance and a very boring "we're better than you" approach. Your team is better. I admit it. Let's move on. :?

Do you actually read the posts of the Patriots' fans or are they merely gibber jabber? Short from the ocassional clown that arrives here the week of the game and is shortly gone after it, most Patriots' fans acknowledged the Patriots' suffered some losses during the offseason. Granted, unlike Jets' fans tend to do, they did not take it to the extreme and forecasted a Patriots' run for the top pick in the draft. Should we lose faith in a team that had shown an amazing reseliency overcoming injuries these past two years? No. Is it arrogant to make that assumption? Maybe a little, but the Patriots have shown the ability to do it, unlike the misguided faith placed in Chad Pennington. Patriots' fans even acknowledge that we do get calls. Again, not as much as Jets' fans seem to think and no more then any other team. All teams get the benefit and suffer from bad calls. The reality is the Patriots should not be favorites for a third straight title. Colts are far more deserving of that honor. However, the play the past two weeks, even against horrible teams like the Jets and Bills, show that maybe the Patriots can string together a nice run and possibly win a title like 2001. Do I expect it? No. The Colts still have too many weapons for the Patriots' depleted DBs to cover, but the Patriots' cause is not as hopeless as it looked two weeks ago. Of course, the Bucaneers could end that dream, but the Patriots looking like they might have a little something to say about who walks home with the XL Superbowl trophy. sirlancemehlot
TX, you're not a blatent homer. A closet homer maybe. And Pfsikh, you just opened up and admitted a certain amount of fallability. Admitting it is the first step. And even though you guys tend to be a little condescending, you're generally not as condescending as I was in the last couple of posts. I just wanted to try it on for a while. Rude looks good on me, I think. 8)

A fan who is emotionally tied to an over-the-hill, 34-year old WR who's a** should have been cut two years ago?
