So, before the New York Rangers hit the ice, the team and their coach will be hosting the Rangers Dog Walk. The event will benefit the Westchester Humane Society and other organizations dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals. It takes place Sunday, Sept. 9 with the one-mile walk kicking off at 9 a.m. at West 103rd Street and Riverside Drive in Manhattan. Registration will start at 8 a.m. It costs $100 per person/dog team, $75 for participants without dogs and/or each additional family member, and $10 for each additional dog. There will be a Q & A with coach John Tortorella, special appearance by select Rangers players, one mile dog walk, on-site pet adoptions, giveaways, and more. To sign up, click here.
