Smizzy
Red Sox | Renteria: It Was The Infield's Fault Mon, 12 Dec 2005 00:56:44 -0800 The Boston Globe's Chris Snow reports former Boston Red Sox SS Edgar Renteria, now with the Atlanta Braves, believed the Fenway Park infield led to his 30 errors in 2005. ''I worked a lot last year to feel comfortable and just couldn't. It's one of the reasons why I wanted out of Boston," Renteria said. ''The ball bounces too much in the field of the shortstop, where I play. The field is not good like other stadiums. One day it's bad, the next day, it's worse . . . I was uncomfortable the whole year."

No you can't and why would you especially if you include his 100 runs scored. Those stats in a down year for Renteria pan out to be top 10 among Major League SS's .
