afosomf
Mike Mularkey!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't remember a team that has revolted against a coach this way in a long while Meanwhile Pat fans think there team is on the rise!! Rice U could have beat Jills yesterday and they may not have enough players to play this sunday. Mularkey will be fired this week.. right it down
The Gun Of Bavaria
Whoever the coach of the Lions at any given time has to be added to this list as well.
PatsFanTX
Meanwhile Pat fans think there team is on the rise!! Yep, right as usual assmop. Let's see, the Pats generated 497 yards in total offense, set a franchise record for 1st downs (32), Brady tossed for over 300 yards, Dillon ran for over 100 yards all in deplorable weather conditions. Not to mention the defense held the Bills to 14 rushing yards and confused Losman the entire game. Yea, the only reason why the Pats completely dominated that game was because Mularkey is a bad HC. BTW, enjoy your top 5 draft pick.
Garb
Add Marty Schottenheimer to the list too. SD will never make it to a championship game with that schmuck as HC. Damn shame too - with all that talent. A sad kind of silly.

joewilly
coughlin declined a penalty to knock eagles out of field at end of 1st half which almost cost his team a victory. anyone who watched the end of detroit game would call for jauron's head. bitonti
let me add Lovie Smith to that list, for accepting a penalty that took 4th down away and allowed the Steelers to score a TD instead of kicking the FG. Also Capers in Houston is a lame duck, Billick in BAL has his foot out the door etc. so... between Coughlin, Smith, Schottenheimer, Turner, Capers and Mularky that's a list of worse-than-Herm coaches that is getting longer by the day. maybe Herm isn't as dumb as everyone says he is... Everyone's favorite, the Bengals. They've beaten both Carolina and Tampa. And they play Atlanta next week. They can only beat the teams in front of them. The Jets have played, roughly, the same type of schedule. And, in like opponents, they both beat the Bucs, while only the Bears beat the Panthers. The Pathers routed the Jets, if you do recall. And the Jets have lost alot of close games, while the Bears have won alot of close ones. That's a mark of good coaching.

bitonti
the Jets have lost alot of close games, while the Bears have won alot of close ones. That's a mark of good coaching. my point wasn't to make a one on one comparison between the 2005 NY Jets and any other 2005 team. My point was that even so called "great" coaches make egregious mistakes during the course of the game. My point was that if Herm had coached like these guys he would have been fired by now. He has the reputation of being weak in these game management decisions, upon closer inspection, and comparing him to his peers, Herm's not nearly as bad as he is made out to be. Also for all this talk of guys like Marvin Lewis or Tom Coughlin and how much better they are than Herman, no one was saying so much when the Bengals and Giants were cellar dwellers. And don't give me this one year stuff. The Bears had a great year not too long ago when Dick Jauron had them going 13-3 - without a ring no one cares. This was not about Jauron vs Hermie, it was Lovie vs Hermie. You love to switch every issue around, you make no sense, thank god you have r44 to run your draft site, otherwise nothing would get done. Every coach makes a mistake once in a while, Herm makes them every week unless a game is giftwrapped to him.

My point was more about how after five years, the Jets haven't done anything. Jauron is a horrible coach. He got lucky with the talent on that defense. Lovie did rebuild that Bears defense (and it did get healthy too). But, that being said, the Jets defense should be somewhere as good. With all the talent on that side of the ball? I think the players are tuning him out. That's another mark that it's his time to go. The offense has regressed each season under Herm. And with all the bad game management and horrible decisions. It's not that Herm's bad (which is is), but it's time for a change. With some changes and a new voice, this team could be back to where they were just one year ago. Yea, the Panthers and Bucs are nobodies. Funny when the Jets were beating a bunch of nobodies last year I didnt hear you complain bit. It was all how greatm herm is from you. Yet you kill another coach for a soft schedule (and really, the bears' schedule is not even soft.) Lovie Smith is on his way to the playoffs with his 2nd string QB. Whenever Herm had to go to his 2nd string he pulls out 6-10 seasons or worst. Then uses it as an excuse.

StillerPaul
I'll add Brian Billick to this list. Can anyone deny the talent that team has, especially on D? He's supposed to be an offensive "genius", yet he can't get anything from his past 3 QB's? Traded 2 picks, moved up to take Boller, who was his guy. This guy has singlehandedly destroyed a SB winning franchise. Not that i'm the least bit upset over it.
