The Gun Of Bavaria
Can the Red Wings move back to the East? vanDoug
Is the "Peg" really an option? That would surprise me. Always thought Seattle would be a good home for an NHL team. GOB, I think a lot of people would like that original 6 idea. But that would prevent 2 original 6 teams from meeting in the finals, no? d

vanDoug
how bout quebec city!! they could make it in a cap run league Man, you wanna piss off somebody from Quebec City, mention the Nordiques. Shortly after they relocate to Denver, they win the cup. Makes their blood boil. Finally a chance to show big brother Montreal that they can win at hockey too and the team moves. Mavrik
With the new NHL, it makes it a lot more of a reality for a Canadian hockey team to survive, It is a lot easier money wise to work with a 39 million dollar payroll than to compete with a 79 million dollar payroll like the Wings used to have. Any new franchise located in a Canadian city would I'm sure be there for a while. I'm sure folks in Winnipeg would take a team back in a heartbeat. If they are going to relocate a team, either put them in Seattle or more preferrably put them in Canada. But for the love of god, don't put them in the South. stormshadow19
The new cap may be as high as 49 million dollars. So... it may or may not be too friendly to Canadian teams. But, then again, there's the whole revenue sharing thing.
