Jetscode1
how does Carlos Rogers know what the Jets defense was doing? did the Niners let him play offense? that being said quitting happens. when the offense is incompetent, eventually defenses stop caring. it happens. and changing coaches or players will never fix that. How then?
ZachEY
As an aside, Holmes would have been my hero if he didn't resign here because, "the money isn't worth playing with Sanchez".
bitonti
How then? changing QBs? the offense needs to be better. No defense in the league will play hard for 60 minutes for a crap offense that can't score a damn point. I've said this in other threads, they had 6 3 and outs, 2 fumbles and an int (before the Holmes give up). the offense put the d in terrible situations all game long. JetsFanInDenver
Haha... you keep telling yourself that. Why was it not a close game till the 3rd quarter ? And didnt we have chances in the red zone ? This Rogers is just being a douche. You should know!
kay_gee
Rogers fails to mention WHEN he thought the defense gave up. Was it midway through the fourth when it was like 27-0? Because that was about the time I realized the Jets can't score points even to make themselves look better.
RutgersJetFan
Would not be at all surprised if the D was sick of the offense. Apollo kids live to spit the real.
BlackDynamite
Rogers confuses fatigue for effort. The Jets missed a bunch of 2nd half tackles against the Steelers too. Did they quit in Week 2? But if you're down by 20 early in the fourth, and the offense just turned the ball over, again, many players would lose interest in the game at that point. Quitting is not the right word. If you are demoralized, and are overmatched, and are just plain tired, when you don't play well, it will look like you quit. You play to win the game, right? So if you're not going to win the game, how will you play? BD
aec4
It was 10-0 midway though the 3rd period---the defense could hold the rope just so long---Sanchez makes everybody on the team worse physically, mentally and spirituality We allowed 34, but 1 was due to a TD return. Another was due to a blocked punt giving them the ball on the 4. One was a FG because our QB is a moron. So we allowed 17.
