T0mShane
You're not real fans. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/07/lombardi-jets-had-12000-unsold-tickets-as-of-friday/ At the tail end of NFL Network’s First on the Field, Mike Lombardi dropped a factoid that could set everyone’s clock in New York to Tebow Time. Lombardi said that 12,000 tickets to Monday night’s game between the Texans and the Jets were unsold as of Friday. As Lombardi surmises, the struggles to fill the seats will make it more likely that Tebow will get a shot, at some point, to start at quarterback. Meanwhile, that many unsold tickets could have triggered a local blackout of the game, unless the Jets bought up the balance at 34 cents on the dollar. If they did, it all happened quietly. Now that the 12,000 (du)cats are out of the bag, it won’t stay quiet much longer.
ThisYearsModel
The cost is too high and the live game "experience" does not justify the cost and hassle. There is no line at the bathroom, refrigerator or grill at my house in front of the 60 inch HDTV. When they play like crap, there is a lot less suffering. The huge advantage of NFL season tickets vs. other sports used to be the reasonable cost. Thise days are long gone now.

ZachEY
Truth is, most fans have been priced out. Especially on a Monday night where they're going to get their ass kicked, we have to stay up late, and go to work the next day.
T0mShane
My dream is to see Woody opt to black out a game to teach us all a lesson. Might get that chance this season.
ThisYearsModel
I pefer the blackout to the game being on with the 40,000 no-shows in the lower decks when the team is 4-10.

unbanmadmike1
Why should fans spend money on this joke of a franchise that has done nothing but humiliate it's fanbase with incompetence and chatter for the last 2 years? Screw them. They deserve the humiliation.

Matt39
The funny thing is the Tebow signing turned people more off. This isn't Denver... No one gives a sh*t about Tebow.
JFtoLong
The expectation is the Jets will get their asses kicked, Late game during the week, very expensive, circuits act team with the defending champs in the same town, this is no surprise. When the jets learn that winning sells tickets, not a circus act, this wont happen
ZachEY
Wrong it's not price, it's the dogsh*t product on the field. Thats where it begins and ends. Which is why PSL's sold so well when we were actually winning?

unbanmadmike1
Which is why PSL's sold so well when we were actually winning? The stadium was still full. The empty seats on monday night are going to be hilarious.
T0mShane
Wrong it's not price, it's the dogsh*t product on the field. Thats where it begins and ends. Absolutely wrong. The Jets were sold out for 40+ years despite fielding comically awful teams. The stadium was sold out for every game Kotite coached here. Think about that. JoeC36
Not sure. I'm about 45 miles outside Manhattan. I could always drive into Connecticut, though. It's a 75 mile radius from tHe stadium. stoicsentry
Why should fans spend money on this joke of a franchise that has done nothing but humiliate it's fanbase with incompetence and chatter for the last 2 years? Screw them. They deserve the humiliation. Within the past 2 years, they were beating New England in Foxboro and heading to the AFCCG. So I guess you mean 2 seasons and by seasons you mean 1.25 seasons.

ZachEY
The stadium was still full. The empty seats on monday night are going to be hilarious. That's because corporate "fans" (the ones for the most part who are paying) don't care as much. As Shane says, the stadium has been sold out forever. Regardless of the quality of the product on the field.

Attribution! It's awful how easy it is to predict the near-future of this franchise. Just predict the most negative, asinine conscious course of action, and their management group will fall in line every time.
