No, it's a factual statement.

What's preposterous is trying to derive any performance indicators from making it to the AFCCG, of which you and the bizarro ilk are often guilty.

Balderdash.

I suggest you run your equations on Marks playoff performances. The eye test says he was instrumental in some of those wins.

So, it means nothing to you the percentage of a teams cap that a player takes up in relation to their performance?

That was not the argument. By they way, if that is the case why is there not an issue with David Harris or Calvin Pace or Bart Scott. They are not worth the cap space they take up. No one is complaining about them.

Already did.

My equation's criteria are that he is at least league average in each of the following categories to qualify as a decent performance (minimum 20 attempts, which I think is fair, since league average was > 33 per game):

Completion percentage

Yards/Attempt

He must also throw at least one TD and no more than 1 INT. I think those are pretty loose rules to qualify as an "above average" performance.

How many of these games did he have in his career prior to this season in 46 regular season starts? 5. Of those 5, only 2 were in games where he had over 30 attempts and both, interestingly enough, were losses (OAK last year and CHI the year prior).

Of his 6 career playoff games, only one passes the criteria, which was the win against NE in the Divisional Round.

The eye test is the last bastion against logic for those who, for whatever reason, cannot move from their position despite mountains of evidence to the contrary.

OAK in the divisional round? Are we talking about Chad or did you mean Indy?

Well, that's it. Sanchez is no longer in the circle of trust. It's not like I didn't see it. Here's an article I wrote after game one in 2010....forecasting this.

It's not that i think he's not talented. Ironically, in the same game he showed the brilliance that I saw in him when we were on the upswing. He is as good as anyone ONCE IN A WHILE. But his problem is all upstairs. His decision making, his tendancy to **** up routine sh*t like a handoff on our own 10.....his demeanor when sh*t happens...and worst of all..he JUST DOES NOT want to protect the football when he gets sacked! He literally closes his eyes and chucks the ball up. One thing all the 'great' Jets QB disappointments could do was take a sack. OBrien was a master at it.....tuck and fold!!!!

I also can't help but notice our lack of a no huddle. At least it'd be reassuring to see a play ran without the ****ing arm band!

Part of that could be the new OC......which brings me to the real blame for this team's pathetic-ness.

I guess first off, it's the Jets mystic in general, which gave us a classic sunday, an epic choke. (Last time I remember anything like that was the Knicks-Pacers in the 90's.....I was walking out the door celebrating up by 8 with seconds left lol) and that's probably the reason we attract people like this....but our GM makes me sick. As far as our QB, you could not have handled a #5 overall pick (that YOU traded up for) worse than he did. You would think he was purposely sabotaging the kid.

But forget that. Let's just say Sanchez sucks....end of story. Just simply explain HOW on Earth you could get to back to back title games...with this same sh*tty QB AS A ROOKIE....and in one year miss the playoffs and one year later fall to the laughing stock of the league??

Just look at this: Before the 2011 season even started, they were the only team in a salary cap league of parity to be in the last two final fours....AND they weren't even in the discussion to be in the playoffs. Now two years later, giving him the benefit of the doubt that last year was a bump, Vegas has the over/under at 8 wins!!! That's with a healthy Revis and Holmes. And if you read the little blurb from all the handicappers, to a man they talk about the "eroding talent" and the "homemade QB controversy"

How does that NOT fall right on Tann-bum? Any owner who wants to win first and foremost and isnt in cahoots with these assinine decisions would have him escorted off the property!

Sure I veered off from the thread topic, yeah our QB sucks.....but all roads lead back to the FO....alwaysand forever. Damn, I loathe this organization. lol

In 6 playoff games he's completing over 60% of his passes and has a 3 to 1 TD to INT ration. In 10' he only had 1 INT in 3 playoff games.

Methinks your standards may be a wee bit lofty, mate.

Now we are making FO decisions based upon handicappers and Vegas?

Nah, it's just laying on the ground, doing a good bit of hemorrhaging, as everyone watches on in complete amazement how the damn thing still isn't dead yet.

Meanwhile, Pac lays on the ground next to it as he keeps petting the horse and mumbling to himself, "pretty pony".

HAhahahahahahahah.....thats funny dude!

yes, people are complaining about them. I've said even in this thread that we could use all new linebackers and that they are a huge weakness of this team. It's just that Sanchez is so bad and so important that he trumps the rest.

He's over 60%, which is league average. Whoopie.

You're highlighting the 2010 playoffs... he was horrible against IND and for the 1st Half of the PIT game.

I'm letting Pac tire himself in his own muddled mess, then one big right hook....and fin.

Your cowardice has been proven countless times and is on full display via your avatar. When you see adversity you tuck tail and run... I don't blame you for repeating the Sanchez sucks mantra because you are incapable of disagreeing with the masses.

60% whoopie? That's supposedly the mendoza line Sanchez has to aspire to in order to be considered a good QB. I'm just telling you in the most pressure packed situations he's been rock steady.

If you don't believe me ask a guy like Bitoni who has seen these guys up close and personal. He's even saying after the last couple weeks we may have a upper echelon QB on our hands after all.

You have to love the argument that just because good QB's make crappy plays sometimes, apparently Sanchez should not be judged based upon the abnormally high frequency with which he makes these same mistakes.

Having sex with Kate Upton is the same as with Rosie O'Donnell.

Completing 60% of your passes is average. Over a 6 game sample. BFD. In his career, he's had 16 games in which he completed over 60% of his throws on more than 20 attempts. He has started 59 career games. Not good.

He's completing 53.2% of his throws this season. The rest of the league is at 62.2%. Awful.

Lol. Considering that Sanchez didn't play at the Senior Bowl and I had lower level season tickets in '09 and part of '10, I bet I've actually seen more of his play up "close and personal".

Let's keep it real here Pacnerd, shall we. You live to play devil's advocate. You don't even know what you're arguing about right now. This is all just another opportunity for you to jump up on your self appointed soapbox, look down and point a crooked finger at the angry mob while pushing your hidden, rebellious, self indulging agenda. You have not, at any point, given any sane reasoning other than, it's your own opinion, as to why anyone should have faith in Mark Sanchez as a top tier quarterback in the NFL. We all know he's already proven that he can compete at a starting level, and that he has failed to become anymore than subpar to mediocre, at best. You have been slapped in the face repeatedly with countless stats, facts, and proof of this, yet you continually discount them in favor of this stance that, "your eyes don't lie." You've painted yourself into this foolish corner, not me. You've only yourself to blame.

Regarding my team, the Browns are the worst organization in the NFL. They are and have been a laughing stock. Even the Jets have a richer history within the last 45 years. Of what benefit do have in rooting for them?
