In watching Nets games and such they have been promoting single game tickets on sale Dec 16th for our Yankee fans

I have a tentative Yankees 2006 schedule. Not sure why it is tentative, but anyway......

Yanks open with 6 games on the West Coast, starting on Apr. 3rd in Oakland. The Yankees home opener is April 11, against the Royals. After this 3 game series, it's back to the road for 5 more games. So 11 of the first 14 are on the road.

Yankees start with the Bosox on May 1, with a 2 game series at Fenway. The Bosox pay their first visit to NY on May 9, for a 3 game series.

Interleague play begins on May 19, with a 3 game series against the Mets. Immediately after this series, the Yankees head back to Fenway for 3 with the Bosox. The Bosox return on Jum 5, for a 4 game series.

Interleague play starts on June 16th, with the Yankees visiting Washington and Philly. This is followed by a home stand against Florida and the Braves from June 23-June 28. After an off day, the Mets come to town from June 30 - July 2, for 3 games.

The All Star game is July 11th.

Yankees travel to Fenway for a 4 game set starting on August 18th. This is followed by the Yankees 2nd and final West Coast swing, through Seattle and California, from August 22 through Aug. 27.

The final series with the Bosox is on Sept. 15 - Sept. 17, in the bronx.

For those interested, the Yankees play the Tigers at Detroit on May 29, with a 4 game set. The Tigers come to the Bronx for 3 games from Aug. 29 - Aug. 31.

The Yankees close the season with 6 at home against the Birds and Blue Jays.

The league knows Boston won't be in the running so they didn't bother scheduling them for the finale.
