Lurking Troll
Don't question Rex he knows that if he keeps starting Sanchez it will work out.......just like he knows that if he keeps banging his head on his desk his headache will go away. The Crusher
I have no problem throwing in Tebow for s's and g's....the season was dead before it even started. WHat scare's me though is if Tebow wins like 4 games and proves worthy enough of being the starter next year(in Woody's eyes). I really might consider just playing fantasy football then and just cut out the Jets. My biggest fear is Tebow gets in wins just enough games to prevent us from drafting the QB of the future without losing even more draft picks. Then again not like we draft well anyhow. THE ILK
Colts just beat Packers. Losing to them doesn't mean as much as its being made out. This Jets team is awful, irrelevant of what happens vs. Colts. CREAM CHEESE!!!
TNJet
Yes. Start him, see what happens. We are 2-3 now, don't wait until we have no chance whatsoever to turn the season around and then start winning each game with Tebow. Start now, Sanchez has been given enough opportunity to show if he was elite or not. Has any great QB taken 5 years to get there? I think not. Start Tebow this week and if he sucks, go back to Sanchez its that simple.
IPack
No. Start him against the Patriots to make him earn the job. Don't just give it to him because Sanchez is faltering. If he wins he keeps the job if he loses, oh well.

Tim would gladly start against the pats.. ****ing guy.. That has to be the most insane comment ever.. "If he wins he keeps the job if he loses, oh well." Sanchez passer rating last week 1.8% and yet 54 views and 14 votes, he has 10 votes to start and Tebow 4.. LMAO.
dbatesman
People remember the back to back AFC Championship Games and confuse Sanchez with the type of quarterback normally associated with getting to those games. They're the same people who are still shocked that Jason Alexander isn't a huge star today because he was on Seinfeld a long time ago. You talking sh*t on Dunston Checks In? This Jets team is awful, irrelevant of what happens vs. Colts. Ape, I don't agree with that, you win your a winner thats the reality. You lose you suck until next week and the analysis will continue forever. We are in this mess because everyone bought into Rex hype to a point "they" believe their own bullsh*t. Where were the draft picks? Where is the depth? There isn't any. But this is still an NFL team and there is always a small margin between good and suck. And alot depends on mental toughness, having your team prepared, having a solid game plan and most importantly a plan-B to go to once you have figured out the D or when the D has figured out your O. We are at this point in time because of the FO and that includes Rex. And to be brutally honest did Rex build the 2009 team that went to the AFCCG?....the answer is NO. It sounds like I am killing Rex, I am not just holding a HC accountable as he should be for results on the field as well as the FO to provide the HC the tools to acheive a winner. As for the Packers, they are overrated and thats the truth.

RSJ
If Sanchez struggles in this game then Tebow should be inserted in the game. And if Sanchez loses the game but plays average then Tebow should start next week. But Sanchez should start this game to see how he does. My bet is that he looks like a baby again and Tebow is in there in the second half. If Rex waits any longer than that to insert Tebow, then he should be fired right now. ZachEY
Absolutely not. We are not winning a championship with Tebow this year. Mark's contract is a nightmare so one of two things needs to happen: 1) Lightbulb goes on and he starts playing like a competent QB. 2) He continues playing so poorly that there is no doubt you cannot continue with him. If they pull him now, at some point, if Tebow struggles, you'll end up questioning if you should go back to him. This is similar to the Pennington/Clemens situation. If Mark is really going to be gone, then this will have to be a public execution that will continue until there's really no choice but to get him out of there. JetsFanInDenver
Tebow's not starting for at least another week. Give it a rest, people. Ahh..so he starts against the Pats. Remind me which team make him look ordinary in the last game Tebow QBed and that too with a mediocre defense. This time around the Pats have a better defense compared to last season. That is the problem we do not have a #2QB on this team.
JetsFanInDenver
Rationally speaking Sanchez should be the starting QB till the entire season to see if he can be someone the JETS can bank for next season. Another possible scenario is till the last 2 games of the season and then we can try McElroy to see if he can be a solid #2 backup or by some miracle a good starting QB. Other than that there is no rational move. If Sanchez cannot be the guy than cut him. Cut Holmes, Harris and let go all the other excessive salary on the books. Get a better personnel guy. Call the next season a wash and then start over!

We have a guy who played in the NFL and won a playoff game last year... you put him in until he fails and then put in mcelroy. I just dont unserstand why everyone thinks #3 comes before #2 regardless of who it is. Because #2 QB is not really a NFL clibre QB abd does not belong behind the center. Tebow was a great novelty act last season. Teams did not know how to defend the run option play. He made a living on that. Eventually defenses figured it out. Teams also did not know how good a deep passer he could be. He seemed to complete a lot of those passes whenever i saw him play. But he cannot make all the throws. He is awful in the short to intermediate stuff. By now all teams have him figured out. Sure try him but in one or two games the same fans might be booing Tebow. On the other hand the JETS deserve an opportunity to figure out if Sanchez can be the guy by end of the season. If not they need to move on. That bomb during mondays game was legit perfect. He is able to win games and is a player. Cant deny him a chance because he is tebow and does it a weird way. I just dont unserstand why everyone thinks #3 comes before #2 regardless of who it is. not a good argument. Sanchez has won playoff games too. four of them, in fact. Sanchez isn't good. Neither is Tebow. why is everyone dying for Tebow to start? because he can't throw too and maybe he will be able to pound out a few extra wins? we need a high draft pick and to draft a new QB. Tebow is either worse than Sanchez or he runs for some extra wins that keep us from getting a better pick and a real QB. the sooner we get past the Sanchez/Tebow era, the better. leave in Sanchez, let the ship sink, and be done with it already. It was one pass he threw and that was broken. JETS need to utilize Sanchez all season. We are not going anywhere this season. The injuries and lack of depth on the team ensures that. So why not see what Sanchez can do. One thing i loved about Monday night is the pressure of the world was on Sanchez and still he managed a half way decent game without any weapons. I would like the JETS to evaluate him and if its a loss say by Week 13,14,15 bring in someone who they can evaluate for next season. At a minimum it sets this franchise down back by 2 seasons after this one. There do not seem to be any pleasant options. Our lack of talent, lack of depth, lack of any reasonable contracts that can be traded for draft picks all but assure we will suck for sometime. Jet27
No. However, if Sanchez Struggles and our offense is not doing a thing, then Rex needs to take a page from what happened in last nights Yankees Game (pinch hit for A-rod) and replace Sanchez with Tebow. I do believe that would be best at this point in time. But Sanchez has earned the right to start against the Colts and finally play at a high level. And by the Way......Wasn't that Yankee Magic all over again.....
Skeet Ulrich
Sanchez IMO, has until the Dolphins game to get himself straightened out, then I think you pull the plug and give Tebow and Sparano the bye to cobble together an offense for the second half of the season.
