T0mShane
I thought it was a really borderline play by Slauson. I believe he was pulled for Ducasse for a stretch immediately after that. Wonder if the two things are related.
THE ILK
How long before we get the dirty clown tag?
T0mShane
He added: "I would have to say I would definitely question (the flack Slauson is getting), I never saw anything specifically I was just watching our game tape. I'll say this -- we got rolled up a few times in our game, and sometimes in this game you gotta be fortunate to avoid some injury. I don't know what happened in Brian's case. Obviously he's a tremendous football player and I hate to see any player suffer a serious injury." Rex playing the "I musta missed it" card. Pretty much tells you what he thinks. pointman
Cut blocks have been around a long time. As long as the player who gets cut isn't engaged already with another player.. there is nothing wrong with it.

Look at replay, it was dirty, he came from behind too, no way to defend yourself
Lil Bit Special
I really hate plays like that. I really have a problem with the rules when they protect the QB and his knees, but not the linemen. I think its a joke they have different sets of rules for different players. But... it was legal within the rules.

bitonti
Borderline legal and still very Dirty hit, sure opposing teams have slauson labeld now the Texans have been cutting people's knees for years with that zone scheme, this is a small amount of payback for all the knees they've crushed over the years. Wonder if the two things are related. I rewatched the game this AM In defense of Slauson, he made an attempt to get aroung the front of the player Watching the Houston cut block on a regular basis...how DeVito is walking today is beyond me....Derek Newton is a dirty f&ck
