Joe McKnight | NYJ (October 15, 2012 5:33 PM EDT) Joe McKnight's Monday MRI revealed a high ankle sprain.

The Jets are getting awfully thin at running back. Bilal Powell (shoulder) and McKnight both threaten to miss multiple games, leaving only UDFA Jonathan Grimes behind Shonn Greene on the depth chart. They'll likely have to sign another tailback this week. McKnight was coming on a bit with 90 yards on 10 carries this season, and he also returned a kickoff for a touchdown in Week 5 against the Texans. He can now be dropped in 10- and 12-team leagues.

Is it me or have we had more injuries than last year?

Definitely. Last year I remember thinking we were pretty lucky and that we barely got hit with the injury bug. Shoot, even Sanchez kept getting up after getting his ass banged around. And thats not even including what happened on the football field.

This is where a good chain saw, some industrial strength steel thread and a little bit of know-how would pay off. Just splice McKinight's upper body onto Powell's torso and you have a #2 RB. Holmes is out for the year, so add his scholngimus maximus and you've got one hell of a package. Defenses will run from that $hit.

The truth is, as Jets fans, we've gotten completely spoiled when it comes to injuries. Year in and year out, the Jets are one of the least injured teams out there, and every now and then, we have a season where they seem to really start rolling in all at once (2005, 2007, this year). Truth is, it's not that the Jets are getting that many more than your average team, it's just that we're not used to it and it's only made that much worse by the lack of depth on the team.
