They thought....take it to the house or we don't score. The track record told them not to have faith.

JetsMan57
On the surface it seems dumb, but people thought Jake Plummer was a loser too until he hooked up with some real coaching in Denver. Look at him now. Im not in favor or signing Brooks, but I wouldnt be upset if we did sign him. It'd be interesting to see what he could do under Dinger... Does Harrington suck that bad (I don't watch enough Lions games to tell) or could he possibly benefit from a change of scenery? I also think Matt Schaub would be an excellent starting QB in the NFL. stormshadow19
Joey can't handle the media on Detroit, what do you think the NY guys would do to him? Joey can handle the media here, just fine. He doesn't pay them any attention. The NY guys would probably embrace him. Because, unlike Randy Johnson or Jeff Weaver or others who couldn't handle NYC, Joey has charisma and is a well liked guy. It's just that the fans don't like him because he didn't deliver a 16-0 record his first season and every season there after. And, Harrington can be a good QB. Just have the offense suit to his strengths. Y'know, like any smart coach would. I mean, through the entire Mooch and Marty coaching regimes, I find it hard to believe that they have five first round busts. One... sure. Two? That's pushing it. Five? That's insane. And it's not as if these guys haven't shown flashes of becoming good-great. Everyone on this Lions team has regressed, in terms of becoming better. And, check Joey's stats from last season... it's not as if he had a crappy year. His completion percentage fell off as soon as he started lining up with practice squad receivers. If he played behind the Jets O-line of last year, the offense would have been that much better. While he doesn't have a canon, he doesn't have a weak arm, either. Honestly, I think Joey would be best in KC, under the current coaching.
The Troll
Aaron Brooks is another Quincy Carter, remember what happened to him? Quincy was better than Aaron Brooks. Quincy's IQ didn't drop from 75 to 14 when in the face of a blitz. Watching Brooks when he's blitzed is the best comedy on television.
