AFJF
I was listening to ESPN radio this morning on the way to work and Mark Schlereth was talking about Ben Rothlesbergers injury and playing through it. I recall Schlereth was vocal about Abe sitting out playoff games last season and he made the comment that Big Ben "Is a FOOTBALL PLAYER, he's not going to sit out and say 'oh, but I'm worried about what might happen in the future in regards to the injury', thats what football players do, they play football" Opinions? Big Ben was in his 1st year of a 5-year contract. Abe was playing last year for his one and only huge payday as an NFL player. Big difference in the two situations. Maxman
Abe was playing last year for his one and only huge payday as an NFL player. Yeah and had he played he might have landed that contract! Instead he is staring at another 1 year deal.
Green DNA
Schlereth is a know nothing blow hard. He feels that because he had 30 knee operations that everybody should do the same. This guy will be a cripple in a few years. He should get his facts straight: Big Ben had a torn cartilage, had his knee scoped, repaired, sat out a couple of games and came back. Abe had a a sprain, a partial tear of the ligament that without surgery will only get better by rest and strengthening the muscles around the knee. The circumstances are completely different. Schlereth is a jackass.
4HCrew
This horse has been beaten... funny how the reports coming out this year of how badly J Abe was really hurt and that it was more Herm's fault of saying he could play. Abe said some stupid things but the fact remains that he COULD NOT PLAY.
