AFJF
The 2006 New York Jets General Manager: Terry Bradway Head Coach: Herman Edwards Starting Quarterback: Chad Pennington Starting Runningback: Curtis Martin I think you're right on 3 out of 4. Curtis will be on the roster and he will get some carries (might even start) but I think FINALLY Herm works a kid in to the rotation and maybe split the carries 60/
AFJF
What the hell was I thinking when I just said that. You're 4 for 4, Curtis is a WARRIOR!!
Matt39
AF, I sincerly hope I'm wrong. But I see everyone coming back. Terry Bradway needs to be fired, immediately. The Jets cap mess falls directly on him. The Jolley trade, Mike Nugent, Robertson deal, Martins deal have all set this franchise back for a few years. We need someone other than this nitwit to get us out of it. I could (gasp) live with Herm coaching this team this season. For all his faults, I give the guy credit for people not pointing fingers. He needs to play youth on both sides of the ball and get alot more aggresive. Pennington, who knows. I think at this point hes backup material at best. Martins had a great career, but its time to pass the torch. He just doesnt have the wheels to be a dependable back anymore.

This whole organization needs to do a reassessment and figure out what it is, and more importantly, where it is going. I don't think that the current regime is capable of doing that. They seem to want to be bridge builders and band-aid appliers. Too much small picture thinking and not able to grasp the entire plot.

Nice post, Scott. You're exactly right. WHat type of team have we been the past 5 years? That's a main problem with the Bradway/Herm Jets, we lack an identity. Do we want to be smashmouth or finesse? The way Bradway's drafted, who knows? I think Jetmo had an artice a while back regarding the Jets lacking an identity. He brought up a nice point of the drafting of Santana Moss. Here was a guy who's best asset is going deep, but we install an offense that rarely stretches the defense.
sirlancemehlot
What I fear In 2006... Those fears are so 2004. Get with it man. Anyone who's afraid of anything knows that Rogue Bears and smallpox are the way to go in 2006.

Cant Hackett
What I fear in 2006 is the continued death of Jets football and the tax check I will have to write on April 15th.
Steelbirds
What I fear is Chad getting hurt; we sign Warren Moon, and he gets hurt; we active Vinny, he gets hurt; we then sign Joe Namath...
