One NFL personnel director told SI's Pete Thamel that scouts are coming away from USC with many more questions than were expected of senior QB Matt Barkley. "People are going in there and saying, 'This is the top guy?'" the personnel director said. "All the writers anointed him the top pick before the season began. But the scouts come out of there saying, 'He really doesn't make great decisions. He's not a polished guy like an Andrew Luck or a Matt Ryan.' He's got some flaws. He's just not the king." One unnamed opposing coach even said that Barkley is, "a product of a system." One of the more difficult things evaluators will be forced to do during this draft process is separate and spotlight Barkley's skills from his offense. Yeah, first we need to wait until after the Jets get past the toughest game remaining on their schedule, against a top defense in a cross-country game, so that way when the Jets move from the league's 2nd worst QB to the league's worst QB, we can watch the countless number of morons who will credit that move for the slight improvement we'll see in the team's performance, despite the continued horrible play at the position, and then we get to watch this team full of ****ing morons waste another 2 years of our lives with what will inevitably be amongst the worst QB play to ever grace an NFL field.
