JustInFudge
Lost in the McElroy hoopla is how much the Jets miss Kerry Rhodes. 2 INT's, 3 pass deflected, 6 tackles, forced fumble, big hits. JOJOTOWNSELL
i was laughing to myself how no one brought up his beast of a game........he was a big time lightning rod around here
Integrity28
I think this was the best game he's played since the year before he was traded. Dude has a boatload of talent, that was never a question, his commitment was the problem we he was jettisoned.
bitonti
i was laughing to myself how no one brought up his beast of a game........he was a big time lightning rod around here i defended him for years and until 2012 they never had a better safety. he was never a sure tackler and that's what Rex and Pettine can't abide. But Landry and Bell signings sured up the corp. Could have used him for the 3 years prior to that tho...

ZachEY
If a WR was wide open and made two easy catches, we wouldn't be celebrating that player. That's essentially what Rhodes did, as Sanchez threw the ball right to him twice. Not that he didn't have an awesome game, but those picks were pitch and catch. The FF was the impressive play. NJ
That POS has loose balls bounce up off the ground into his hands and 95+% of his picks are thrown right at his numbers. His "monster" hit on Bell yesterday was a situation where he circumstantially was only a couple feet away and couldn't avoid contact so he dropped his shoulder and fell into him. Prior to Sanchez getting benched yesterday - the only positive thing of this season was having that fkweed on the Cardinals.
New York Mick
That's your boy Rex, the worst talent evaluator in the history of NFL coaches KR plays when he wants to, if he played like that all the time he'd still be a Jet.
JOJOTOWNSELL
it seems the Jets have a rich history of letting defensive players go that have success elsewhere......much more so than offensive players......J Abraham, J Lageman, J Farrior, Hugh Douglas, J Vilma, K Rhodes........of all of them only Abe and Rhodes had any success here relative to the rest of their carreers

NJ
of all of them only Abe and Rhodes had any success here relative to the rest of their carreers I still think this might leave him a few steps short of Canton bro ... Arizona Cardinals On March 6, 2010, Rhodes was traded from the New York Jets to the Arizona Cardinals for a 2010 4th round pick and a 2011 7th round pick.[3] Kerry started and played in all 16 regular season games of the 2010-2011 season for the Arizona Cardinals, recording a total of 90 tackles, 78 solo, 12 assists, 1 sack, 12 passes deflected, 4 interceptions returned for a total of 174 yards, longest returned for 66 yards and 4 fumble recoveries. On December 31, 2010, Kerry was awarded The Lloyd Herberg MVP award for the 2010-2011 season by the Arizona chapter of the Pro Football Writers Association. On Feb 4th, 2011, the Kentucky Chapter of National Football League Players Association Hall announced their new class of 2011. The 2011 Inductees of the hall include players who best represent the sport during 5 decades. Representing for the decade class of 2000 was Kerry Rhodes of University of Louisville, the NY Jets and Arizona Cardinals. The ninth annual induction ceremony will take place on June 24, 2011 at Lexington Opera House.

BroadwayJoe12
I find it quite interesting that the same people lauding Rhodes for doing this against our pathetically abysmal offense are the same that crucify Rex for being happy with what our defense did to Arizona's offense. Guys a beast. Him and Landry would look great together. Rex didnt like his attitude and the organization probably didnt either, thats why we signed thugs, drunks and loudmouths shortly after letting Kerry move on. This organization is one big contradiction after another. Kerry Rhodes was always a big play safety and a sure tackler. Never saw anything out of him here I didnt like. Green DNA
Ahhh, all the revisionist history. We should necro some threads here about how Rhodes would shy away from contact and was a gigantic pussy. He could always cover a good patch of turf, but he is a small step above Cromartie as a tackler. Rhodes was and is as soft as a marshmallow.
