RG3 > Tom Brady

He's pretty amazing.

Is this QB class going to be 1983 like good? Luck, RG III, Wilson, Tannenhill vs. Elway, Kelly, Marino, O'Brien.

Probably not...but still.

If Luck and RG3 end up in the "best ever" discussion then sure. It'll first have to pass the 2004 class before it can approach 1983.

It's certainly promising.

OF COURSE the two hall of fame rookie QB's in the same year happen at a time when the Jets are still delusional about the QB they have and have no chance at them.

even if the Jets wanted Rg3 they weren't getting up to 2 to get him. the redskins mortgaged their future in that trade, it was a good deal but never was a real option for this team .

It'll be interesting to see how he progresses into his post-rookie years and the film builds up. Teams will eventually figure out how to keep him in the pocket or how to put him in spots on the field that he doesn't prefer to be in. Some QBs figure it out and some don't once that happens, but it's a transition that always has to be made eventually. For now though he's pretty damn entertaining to watch.

Yes. Whatever it takes. Throw in Revis.

Haha! Hindsight is an awesome thing.

If Tannenbaum proposed trading four or five first round picks and Revis to move up to #2 in the draft to take the second QB prospect all over again... A running QB, no less... A guy the same height as Mark Sanchez, deemed here to be too short to play QB in the NFL... Damn, I just can't imagine what that backlash would've been like. Petty epic, I'd guess.

Until he started winning. Despite trading away everything, having no weapons whatsoever (other than Alfred Morris and a few games out of Pierre Garcon), and a godawful defense, the Redskins are 6-6. Shannahan deserves a lot of credit, but RG3 has been simply amazing. His rookie season has topped even Cam Newton's.

The injury concerns are valid. His talent and production are not.

Sanchez has no talent around him and the Jets are 5-7... So one extra win turns everything around for you? Sanchez won more in his rookie year.

The Jets, for all their shortcomings, still have a top 5 secondary and have gotten better against the run (we shut down Beanie Wells last week, for instance. He went off against the Rams). The defense has done quite well this year overall.

Washington's defense is an abomination. Nearly the league's worst in pass defense and below average against the run. They're 29th overall in YPG allowed (390.5). We're 10th (336.0) They'd be 9-3 or 8-4 if they had our defense.

Not to mention, our receivers are better than Washington's, and our pass protection is better as well. True statements.
