I vote for the Super Bowl victory. If the Colts win out and then drop in the playoffs, they will be the biggest bust of all time-like that Mariners team that won 110+ but lsot in the playoffs-so what?

These goals aren't mutually exclusive. But heck, Send manning, Wayne, Harrison, the OL, Freeney, et al to a beach for a week. They have top seed locked up.

I don't think the Pats can win. BIG BUT-if Manning happens to have one of his proverbial "off" days in a playoff game vs. the Pats, the Pats will be in it at the end, and then it's anyone's game. Keep in mind-Brady is now 9-0 in playoff games. Een with all the "We want the Pats" bravado, the Colts wouldn't mind the Pats losing before they get to Indy.

I said 16-0 because while the Super Bowl is way more important there's atleast one team every year that wins it. The bigger achievement is going undefeated seeing as they'd be only the 2nd team in history, since the merger, to do so.

Nope.

If that was the case, they wouldn't even play the Super Bowl.

Winning the Super Bowl is all that matters.

Think the Colt players/fans would be happy going 16-0 and getting bounced in the AFC Championship game?

I tend to doubt it.

Tx is right.

If that were the case, their final record would stand at 17-1. That lone blemish would make the 16-0 regular season record meaningless.

16-0 means nothing without winning the Super Bowl. Bills went to 4 stright SB and are thought as losers. Same with Denver before they won back to back. Dallas with all their good seasons were losers until they won the SB. Colts would just be the biggest choke job in NFL history. Although the Oilers blowing a 32 point lead in the 2nd half in the playoffs to the Bills is up there.

I stated that the Super Bowl is much more important so I agree I'm just saying that 16-0 is a bigger achievement because it's harder to do.

There is a NEW Champion every yr. They don't parade the old SB winners out every yr do they?

No. but they do make a stink about those '72 dolphins each yr .

Facts are...there has been only 1 other undefeated team in NFL history. There has been over 30 SB winners.

You also have to realize going undefeated means going 19-0 and winning a SB.

Do you think it's more impressive to win the SB @ 19-0 or to lose week 16 and win the SB going 18-1??

Which would be more impresive to you?

Well if the Colts go undefeated the season and lose in the Super Bowl, then they technically did not beat the Phins undefeated season record because they won teh Super Bowl as well, if the Colts can do it, it would be even more impressive because of 2 more regular season games than teh POhins played back then.

But if they do go undefeated and then lose the Super Bowl, it will go down as the NFL's biggest ckoke.

I do not think teh Pats will knock the Colts out this time, this year the Colts will have the edge of home field, and where they may lose going into the frozen N.E. in January, they will not lose in their dome on turf.

The only way they do not go undefeated is if they sit all of thier starters in the last game.
