Woody Johnson not happy with Jets leaks

...and the #1 reason the regime falls in 24-48 hours...

The Jets have more leaks than the Orca in the final 20 minutes of Jaws. (Yes, I’ve used that one before. Because I really am as cool as the other side of the pillow.)

The latest leak is that owner Woody Johnson isn’t happy with all the leaks.

Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com reports, citing unnamed sources, that Johnson isn’t pleased with the inability of the members of the family to keep the family business in the family. Though it’s unclear how that will all play out after the regular season ends, giving everyone a stern talking-to won’t change anything.

The only way to change the culture is to change out the folks who have created it. And that means firing everyone.

If Johnson isn’t willing to write the checks necessary to buy freedom from the years remaining on the various coaching and front-office contracts, then he’ll have to simply tolerate that the leaks will continue — primarily because there’s no way to catch the leakers in the act of leaking.

Well, leaks happen because magic, so nobody is at fault.

Btw, Rex should thank Manish for not starting half of his anonymous quotes with "Boy, I tellya." It was funny listening to Rex try and bash a single anonymous source without bashing all anonymous sourcing, because that fat moron loves to run his mouth off the record.

Leaks are a function of lack of discipline of the head coach. Once again trying to be a media darling gets a coach nowhere. Bellicheat is a miserable POS, but he does that right; give them nothing. Rex Ryan will be judged by wins and losses. But now that the losses are more numerous than the wins, suddenly the media cannot wait to tear you down. Ryan gained nothing with all the nonsense he did his first 2 years. So why bother engaging people who really are tangential to your success and probably very involved in your downfall? All of these guys cannot wait to be the first to report your firing. They like all this intigue BS better than covering a playoff game.

The lesson should be; give the media nothing. Keep you mouth shut spare the NFL-mandated appearances.

A hit piece by Florio - big surprise there!

Many of you bashing Rex now never gave him credit in the past either so it's no surprise that you're jumping all over this disaster. 6-10/7-9 season, perhaps the lowest point in the history of the Jets? LOL.

And we have the NUMBER 2 RANKED PASS DEFENSE1 YEAH! WHERE'S OUR TROPHY?

Yes, let's revel in the 2 AFC title games where Coach Bigmouth had his troops ready to play 30 minutes instead of 60.

Have a neighbor from Philly who married a Brooklyn girl. Nice guy. But Eagles" management has convinced him and much of their fan base that there is some trophy for salary cap management as opposed to getting the playoffs and winning Super Bowls.Grant you Florio is s brill-cremed fool, but this idea that RYan is doing a good job is laughable. He deserves to be fired.

+1

When will the media and fans pay for what they've done to the Jets this season?

Discipline can only keep the leaks in for so long. When the ship keeps sinking people begin to question orders and lose confidence in the organization. The Jets are in free fall.

When you have an undisciplined head coach that encourages everyone in the organization to speak without a filter, this is what you get.

Why should this surprise anyone?

It kind of is this simple, and I like Rex. But this is a train wreck.

Lowest point? Not even close. Major clusterf#ck and embarrassing? F#ck yeah.

I give Rex all the credit in the world for losing 2 AFC championship games and making chicken soup out of chicken sh!t.

Rex could be a good head coach someday. That time isnt now nor will be with the Jets. He's lost this team.

Remember when Mangini was a jerk because he had no personality and the press access was so minimal that the NY papers hated him? I remember that. Stupid Mangini.

Yepper. So true. The problem is (and we all said this day would come) that the loudmouth is always going to get destroyed when the ship starts to sink by both the media and fanbase.

Regardless, has anything Rex done coaching wise this year or last that would lead anyone to believe he is not in over his head?

Throw in the fact that he is now a complete bufoon during his press conferences and in my opinion the decision is easy.....he gave us two great seasons but needs to go along with the GM, OC, QB and.the rest of the CS.

We then need to pray that our owner is not the biggest problem.
