This debacle has better talent than chargers and cardinals combined. Yes Fitzgerald and Rivers are good...and thats it. Jets players > Cards/Chargers players.

According to who?

Chargers were 7-9 this season. Jets 6-10.

Last Year both teams finished 8-8.

The Chargers have a pro bowl QB in Philip Rivers. He's been a turnover machine, but he can still give you 4 TD and 300+ yard passing games.

The Jets have Mark Sanchez, the #9 pick in the 2013 draft. A draft that isn't thought to be that strong as far as QBs. enough said.

The Chargers defense was rated #9 on total defense, the Jets #8.

The Chargers allowed about 21.9 points per game, the Jets 23.4

The Chargers offense as rated #31 on total offense. The Jets #30.

The Chargers scored about 21.9 points per game. The Jets 17.6

Arizona has a QB issue. But they have Andy Reid coming. Like Andy Reid as a coach or not, he is widely loved around the NFL. People give him a pass this season due to his son's death. And after 14 years, it was a time for a change. I doubt Rex Ryan had teams lining up to hire him as HC if he was fired yesterday. Teams weren't exactly lining up to hire him as HC years ago.

The problem with saying that the Jets have so much talent is that, if any new GM thinks this, they will either demand Rex be fired, or they won't come. You can't have so much talent and keep a coach. The Chargers were thought to be a super bowl contender a couple seasons ago, lost some good players, didn't replace them, under achieved, and so they fired the GM and head coach.

If you think the jets have talented players, a great team, a few pieces away from a super bowl team, then you have to believe they under achieved, which means Rex Ryan is a coach who should have been fired.
