Matt39
Its closer than you might think. Chad behind this oline would be worse than Brooks because he doesn't move as well.
Strifec1209
whoa.. thats bold well im a pretty big fan of bolly he does have a good arm his deep thows are just a beauty compared to those wobbly things that penny throws. his athleticism really helped the jets 6 sacks on him. if penny was there there would have been less thats because he would be injured. but penny wins brooks is 1-6 i think thats not so good, it all comes down to wins
Ikeyman3
No. but it is closer than most think. Going into next year I would rather have Bolly than Penny as the starter. Or even on the roister. If we are talking about the healthy Penny, no he is not better. I wish Bolly was 6'4"
Barton
Is Bollinger better? Than a healthy Chad Pennington: NO Than a Chad Pennington with a torn rotator cuff: NO (btw, I nominate this for post of the week)

Than a healthy Chad Pennington: NO Than a Chad Pennington with a torn rotator cuff: NO Please Barton, tell me how Chad is better with a torn shoulder. If CHad plays today, he's out by the 2nd quarter. (btw, I nominate this for post of the week)
Kentucky Jet
CHAD who? BOLLY with a great OL and a speed WR will make us all forget the poor play of our weak armed, injury prone QB! PLUS a RB who is a threat to run through tackles!aka HOUSTON!

faba
Brooks had a good game and no one can question his toughness - an important factor but I am not ready to say he is more than a backup QB that can fill in

Kentucky Jet
IMAGINE CHAD behind that OL without BROOKS mobility, we would have lost by many more points! Put BROOKS behind an Ol that can pass block and we win! How much time diod the kid have? last year so many CHAD supporters cried about the great one not having enough time to throw accurately! Imagine hiom behind this OL! LOL WHEN WAS Sir CHADS last great game? Was it prior to getting killed in OAKLAND in 2002 or when? It will take awhile to figure out! LOL CHAD did show promise in 2002 in 5 very good games! What has he really shown since then that is way above average? And yet, he couldn't make the throws to win the game... go figure. Imagine hiom behind this OL! LOL Ok... going out on a limb, I'd say Chad is probably a smarter QB than Brooks, and can read a defense. Then he'd go to his "hot" reads. And, the defense would probably respect Chad more, thus playing off more. And that would open up more room for Houston to run. Though, I must say, it was nice to see receivers actually catch the ball.

DEFENSES do not respect a weak armed QB who has lost a lot of accuracy over the span of 3 years! especially one who is immobile! With more experience and a better OL BROOKS would be dynamite! Better WRs would help too! Got to love HOUSTON though! CHAD would be a great #3 if he restructures!

PatsFanTX
Brooks has a better arm, more athletic, and is tougher then Pennington.. Bolly > PennyBoyWonder. If that was PennyBoy in there today, he would have been placed on the IR at least five times before halftime. Bolly took some huge hits today. Naturally Santana dropped a duplicate version at Pitt the following week. He looks nasty today against Dallas though.
