Smizzy Posted December 19, 2005 Share Posted December 19, 2005 Jets Fall to the Dolphins, 24-20 When the New York Jets traveled to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins, the team hoped to string together two straight victories for the first time this season and end a seven-game road losing streak. Unfortunately, a tough 24-20 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday kept the Green & White from reaching both goals. Despite the loss, Jets fans and coaches can take solace in the performance of a few young starters. Brooks Bollinger, who completed 28-of-42 passes for 327 yards and two touchdowns, became the first quarterback since Vinny Testaverde in 2003 (43 games) to throw for over 300 yards against the Dolphins. Rookie running back Cedric Houston had another solid outing, finishing with 84 yards on 15 carries. And tight end Doug Jolley caught nine passes for 102 yards and one touchdown, his first as a Jet.
