Niners CB says openly gay players would not be welcomed on the team

I have never understood why straight males have an issue with gay males.

Love em; less competition and if somehow you can get your gf/wife to have one as a friend, they can often alleviate said gf from asking you to do things you have no interest in doing. Lesbians on the other hand; you can't f*ck em and they try to f*ck your girl. Besides on teh internet, zero tolerance for them in my life!!

I would have no problem having a gay teammate going ham and making plays all over the football field. The problem will occur once we get to the locker room and have to get naked and take showers together. It would feel kind of strange for a guy who I know who's interested in male parts in general side by side, cojonas to cojonas, possibily checking me out. But I think this is something people will eventually warm up to as the 21st century moves on.

100% agreed. My wife is a hairdresser. I understand this.

Lesbians usually make good carpenters though... They may not use studs but really know about tongue in groove.

I just find it sad that someone can be so dumb as to not see the parallels between hating someone for the way they were born and ya know, the fact that possibly his ancestors endured the same type of discrimination. It'd be interesting to hear a reporter ask him that, but I'm pretty sure he'd get a nosebleed from that little mental puzzle.

Tha church.

CIRCUS!!!!!!!

Culliver issued his own apology on Wednesday.

"The derogatory comments I made yesterday were a reflection of thoughts in my head, but they are not how I feel," Culliver said in a statement. "It has taken me seeing them in print to realize that they are hurtful and ugly. Those discriminating feelings are truly not in my heart. Further, I apologize to those who I have hurt and offended, and I pledge to learn and grow from this experience."

You cannot make this up!

There's a little bit of 1984/Big Brother about the way these guys are always "sorry" the next day.

I'm not gay myself, but a few friends of mine that I played D1 collegiate level sports with said it best: the biggest myth about gay individuals is that they simply want every single guy out there and are unable to control their urges. If your teammates don't come on to you, say anything to you or touch your person, how is it any different than another straight guy being in the shower with you?

You might be missing the point, I have played as well, and I can tell you 100%, knowing a guy is gay and your in there in the shower, its in the back of your mind...thats all I believe some here are saying....I think its motre of a comfort level thing more than anything else....

Anyone who's worried about another dude checking them out probably has some issues regarding their own sexuality. If a guy is confident in his heterosexuality, it shouldn't be an issue. If he's secretly concerned he might like having another dude checking him out, then it's in his best interest to make sure there aren't any dudes checking him out.

Thanks I know how it works what I was saying was I have seen that first hand and am simply passing on info. And I also believe you are assuming way to much with this comment "he might like having another dude checking him out"...back in the day if you said that to a dude, your face would have been bruised a bit.....just saying...

The biggest homophobes tend to be repressing homosexual tendencies. Self loathing, that sort of thing.

Secret gay thoughts. "Boy I hope that gay guy totally doesn't come up to me in the shower with a massive, turgid penis" is probably what they yell to make sure the coast is clear of The Gays.

Are you looking in the mirror right about now?

That doesn't work as a joke or as an accusation, as I'm not the slightest bit homophobic, hence the negative rep. Lol.

I find your defensive posture interesting, though.

Well that myth is drivel. If you were to place a random girl in the locker room, she for sure wouldn't have the urge to want every single guy that's in the locker room as there's a such things as unatractive people. I'm pretty sure gay man have taste as well so that shouldn't be implied to them. That's why I mentioned "who's interested in male parts in general". You can even place yourself in this example as I pretty sure if you were taken a shower with 54 other womens that you wouldn't be interested in all that you see.

If I was in a shower with 54 women i would certainly check them all out, even the fatties.

That's pretty much mean if your were a gay NFL football player you would check out all the players including the fatties like the Casey Hampton's and Terrence Cody's of the team. Even with that said how many of them would you be interested in? No all I'm going to assuming so the myth is still drivel.

I don't understand your point. The post you are responding to called it a myth - meaning it's drivel.

As for what Culliver said and "the myth" they don't have to be true for people to believe them.

If I was gay, then yes, I would.

Who cares how many Im interested in.. Im checking them out. I check out lots of women in real life and porn who I would never throw it in to, but I still look and gaze. Im a disgusting pervert.

But with that being said... who cares if a gay guy looks at your junk at stores it away in his spank bank for later?
